Objectives:The aim of this study was to investigate the changes of plasma Apelin levels in patients with age related atrial fibrillation. Methods:Atrial fibrillation analysis, history of 133 patients choose 2015 January-2015 years 7 months in Xinjiang Medical University First Affiliated Hospital Cardiac Pacing electrophysiology Department hospitalized patients 266 cases, cases of atrial fibrillation (AF). The experimental group A (age<65 years) patients with a total of 60 cases. The experimental group B (aged over 65 years) patients with a total of 73 patients without atrial fibrillation patients as control group, a total of 133 cases and the control group A (age<65years) patients with a total of 60 cases. The control group B (aged over 65 years old) in 73 cases. Detailed records of patients with clinical information, cardiac ultrasound and laboratory examination results. Detection of apelin-13 in plasma concentrations were compared among the three groups of apelin-13 level changes in the aging effect, and analysis of atrial fibrillation related risk factors. Results:The age of patients was negatively correlated with the level of Apelin (r=-0.179, P=0.039), diastolic blood pressure levels and Apelin levels were positively correlated (r=-0.177, P=0.042), P<0.005, the difference was statistically significant. The control group did not find correlation between clinical index and the level of Apelin. Non conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that many factors. BMI (OR=1.182.95%CT=1.012~1.380), left atrial diameter (OR=1.291,95%CI= (1.106~1.507). left ventricular end systolic diameter (OR=1.307.95%CI=1.094~1.562) and plasma levels of Apelin (OR=0.693.95%CI=0.557~0.861) associated with atrial fibrillation. The result of multiple linear regression in AF group Apelin levels:age (P=0.042). P<0.005.Conclutions:The plasma level of Apelin in patients with atrial fibrillation was lower than that in control group, and the disease decreased with age.
