Objective:The objective of the research on effect of electro-acupuncture modulating intestinal electrical parameters of diarrhea-functional bowel disorder(FBDs) patients is to observe the regulation of intestinal function by acupuncturing different multi-acupoints. To explore the regulatory effect of acupuncture on the abnormal body, and optimize the methods of acupoints compatibility to provide a reference for improving the clinical efficacy. Methods:In this trial,51 diarrhea FBDs patients which are meeting the test requirements are randomly divided into three groups including group A(LI11,ST37), group B(ST25,BL25), group C(LI11,ST37, ST25,BL25).Next both of them are acupunctured for 16 times in 4 weeks, and then testing the intestinal(ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, rectum) electrical signals before and after the treatment. Finally,46 subjects were included in the statistical analysis, and group A recruited 15 subjects, group B is 14 subjects and group C is 17 subjects. To investigate the intestinal electrical parameters of response area, average frequency, average amplitude, percentage of normal slow wave, rate of intestinal electrical rhythm disorders, and coefficient of slow wave instability in three groups by the SPSS 19.0.Results:1. Comparison of the intestinal electrical parameters within groups between before and after the treatment. The preparedial electrical parameters of response area and percentage of normal slow wave of ascending colon and rate of intestinal electrical rhythm disorders as well as the postprandial percentage of normal slow wave of rectum in group B reduced compared with before acupuncture which was statistically significant (P<0.05).The percentage of normal slow wave of ascending colon, descending colon and rectum in group A reduced(P<0.05).2. Comparison of the intestinal electrical parameters in all groups between before and after the treatment. The decrease of preparedial percentage of normal slow wave of ascending colon, descending colon and rectum has statistically significance(P<0.05),and the same as the preparedial average frequency of rectum.3. Comparison of the intestinal electrical parameters between groups. The difference value between before and after the treatment of preparedial and postprandial average frequency belong to ascending colon in group B reduced, Compared with group A and group C, which was statistically significance. And the same as the postprandial intestinal electrical rhythm disorders in group B. The decrease of the difference value of the postprandial intestinal electrical rhythm disorders in group A has also statistically significancant e(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. The effect of electro-acupuncture on diarrhea-FBDs of intestinal electrical signal with a certain regularity, and acupuncture reduced the number of the response area, percentage of normal slow wave, rate of intestinal electrical rhythm disorders. The results show that acupuncture have a benign adjustment for the body suffering from diarrhea. The changes of intestinal electrical parameters may relate to the phenomenon that acupuncture can reduce intestinal motility as well as slow down intestinal movement.2. There are some differences between the three groups that the group B has certain advantages in regulating the intestinal tract.
