Experimental Study On The Traditional Miao Medicine Of Penthorum Chinese Pursh In Treatment Of Fatty Liver

Objective:Building fatty liver model, and aiming to investigate the pharmacology about traditional Miao medicine of Penthorum chinese Pursh on fatty liver.Methods:Producing extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh, and biulding alcoholic fatty liver model which induced by alcoholic intragastrically with mixture of FeSO4 food,and biulding nonalcoholic fatty liver model which induced by fatty emulsion intragastrically. Treated by extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh intragastrically with 16.7,8.4,4.2g/kg by 6 weeks and 7 weeks separately.and tiopronin,fenofibrate are the positive drugs.Observing general condition in rats, and testing the contents of ALT, AST,TBIL,CHO,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C in serum,detecting the level of TC,TG NEAF, MDA,T-SOD,GSH-PX in hepatic tissue,observing liver tissue pathology. And mice were used to detect the acute toxicitty test by gavaging extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh.Results:1.In the experiment of alcoholic fatty liver,extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh can decrease AST,TG in serum, TG,NEAF in hepatic tissue,and reduce the degree of liver steatosis.2.In the experiment of nonalcoholic fatty liver, extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh can decrease the level of ALT,TBIL,CHO,TG in the serum,and improve the content of HDL-C. Extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh also can significantly decrease the contents of TG and NEAF in the hepatic tissue,and obviously reduce the degree of liver steatosis.3.The maximum administration dosage of extract of Penthorum chinese Pursh on mice was 80g/kg,whichcould cause acute toxicity slightly but symptomatic relieved soon after,and wouldn’t cause death.Conclusions:Traditional Miao medicine of Penthorum chinese Pursh can treat fatty liver.It can relieve hetapic disfuntion, regulate blood lipid and liver lipid meta-bolism,repair oxidative damage.
