ObjectiveTo observe the application of remote home monitoring system in cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), which evaluates the success rate of data transmission and monitor the abnormal events and pacing parameters.Methods37 patients implanted home monitoring system CIEDs were enrolled from November 2009 to July 2014. Of them,31 cases were dual chamber pacemakers,2 CRT and 4 ICD, All patients were given clinical routine followed-up. Application of remote home monitoring system for automatic data transmission daily, while special alarm events were transmitted at any time, success rate of data transmission was analyzed, abnormal events and parameter changes were observed.ResultsA total of 37 patients were included (24 males, mean age (70.0±9.6) years). An average of follow-up time was 902±404 days. Success rate of data transmission was 97.6%.99 alerts were transmitted in 75.7% cases, including 80 (80.8%) disease-related alerts and 19 (19.2%) system-related alerts. Detection time of atrial fibrillation by remote home monitoring system was an average of 62 (19-120) days to last clinical routine follow-up. There was no significant change in ventricular threshold, atrial and ventricle sensing during acute, subacute and chronic phases with the application of the steroid-eluting leads (P>0.05).5 onset atrial fibrillation were detected, which may be related to the QRS duration before and after the device implantation.ConclusionThe success rate of data transmission in CIEDs with remote home monitoring system is efficient, abnormal events can be early detected. Meanwhile, stability of the steroid-eluting lead parameters is verified, which were not changed in acute phase.
