Objective:To evaluate the early therapeutic effect of TACE by the Comparison of the ADC value change in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma before and after TACE in a week with diffusion weighted imaging (DWI).Method:PubMed、Embase、Medline、Cochrane、Springer and four Chinese periodical databases were screened for studies related to HCC before and after TACE with DWI (b value= 500 s/mm2 or 600 s/mm2), extracting Meta-analysis of the literature related data. Test the heterogeneity of the result among the different studies and amalgamate the effect size by fixed or random effect model with RevMan5.3. Subgroup analysis based on the source of different b value.Result:Six studies were accepted the inclusion criteria for meta-analysis. Total 145 patients with 167 lesions were included for this study. Meta-analyses showed that the ADC value after TACE was higher than before:Standardized mean difference (SMD)=-0.71,95%CI:-1.03~-0.38, P<0.0001 (P<0.005)。Subgroup analysis showed that different b value will have an impact on ADC.Conclusion:DWI can evaluate the early efficacy of TACE on patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, which is very important and can guide clinical practice.
