| Objective:To investigate the Multi-detector row spiral CT (MDCT) imaging findings of acute pancreatitis (AP) complicated with liver damage, and to evaluate the correlation of MDCT imaging scoring with liver damage in AP.Methods:one hundred and eighty patients with confirmed AP in our hospital from January 2012 to October 2014 were included into the study. Balthazar CT score, CT severity index (CTSI) and extra-pancreatic inflammation on CT (EPIC) score were calculated. At the mean time, indexes(serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and Aspartate transaminase (AST)) reflected the liver damage were collected, ALT>40U/L or AST>40U/L indicated liver damaging. Correlation of CT score with liver damage in AP was investigated. Results:In AP with liver damage, CT indexes were significantly higher than those without. Among the CT indexes, EPIC score showed the lager area under the ROC curve (AUC= 0.705) than CTSI score (AUC=0.647) and Balthazar CT score (AUC=0.513).Conclusion:Among the CT indexes, EPIC score is a better predictor for liver damage in AP than CTSI and Balthazar CT scores. |
