Objectives:Through acquisition of external jugular vein PICC catheterization history and present situation, discuss and analyze patients through external jugular vein puncture plant central vein, catheter plant depth influencing factors and conduct statistical analysis. Reasonably calculate according to related influencing factors and make individual suitable implantation depth range, avoiding catheterization risk, providing reference for clinical external jugular vein PICC catheterization. Methods:Choosed patients at a first rate hospital hematology-oncology conducted external jugular vein PICC catheterization from September 2013 to May 2015, all those who complied choosing standard were chosen as subjects, used original medical records to perform retrospectively investigate, mainly included subject’s general records after admission, external jugular vein PICC catheterization related value, input the data, imported to Excel to set up the database, and adopted SPSS 17.0 to conduct statistical analysis.General records and present situation investigation used frequency, rate, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, etc. to conduct descriptive statistical analysis; measurement data use T test and variance analysis; influencing factors used multiple-variants progressively regression method.Results:1. The research through conducting vein chemotherapy on 230 cases tumor patients adopting Doppler ultrasound(following simplified as ultrasound) conducted external jugular vein typing: type I 52 cases, type II 70 case, type III 108 cases.2. Through research on external jugular vein catheterization depth influencing factors, the difference of external jugular vein three kinds of typing and catheterization depth had statistical significance(P<0.05); external jugular vein type I catheterization depth average was(20.96±2.43), type II catheterization depth was(22.03 ±2.48), type III catheterization depth was(22.24±2.71).3. The relationship of height, weight, left and right side distinct puncture site and external jugular vein catheterization depth, difference had statistical significance(P<0.05); the relationship of age sex,and external jugular vein catheterization depth, difference had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:Through research, we found that external jugular vein three distinct kinds of typing and catheterization depth had significant difference, age, height, weight and left and right side distinct puncture site, etc. factors could influence catheterization depth, therefore, clinical catheterization operator should comprehensively evaluate patient’s factors influencing catheterization depth, make PICC catheter edge planted at proper position, which could apparently reduce the occurrence of complications, improving tumor patients treatment effect and quality of life.
