PICC is gradually developing in our country each large hospital innineteen ninties of a new intravenous administration, the pain is small, lesstrauma, on vascular intimal injury catheter small widely promoted inclinical. Although PICC has many advantages, but after PICC tube maycause a series of complications, especially thrombosis increased pain andeconomic burden to patients, and even endanger the safety of life of thepatients with. PICC is a new external jugular vein catheter pathway inrecent years based on upper extremity venous PICC on the development, current clinical for correlation analysis on the external jugular vein of PICCthrombosis is rare, this research through the analysis of471clinical cases, explore the external jugular vein and the upper limbs vein PICC differencesin incidence of thrombus pipe later, the success rate of catheterization and catheterization time, and patient satisfaction, in order to provide thereference for clinical application. Objective: through the external jugular vein of PICC catheterinvestigation, comparison of upper extremity venous catheter thrombosisrate differences, the success rate of catheterization and catheterization time, and patient satisfaction, to explore the best way of PICC catheter tube, inorder to provide a scientific basis for clinical external jugular vein PICC.Methods: from2011July to2012July in the oncology department ofour hospital underwent external jugular vein catheter and PICC in patientswith upper limb vein catheter into the object of study, all who meet theinclusion criteria, the catheterization studies were divided into two groupsof different paths, a total of226people; control group of upper extremityvenous catheter, a total of245people, two groups of patients were givenintravenous chemotherapy in patients with tumor. From the catheter tofollow-up of1months, recorded patients catheterization, thrombosis, andsurvey the satisfaction degree of the patients, whether thrombosis on thetwo groups of subjects underwent color ultrasound examination of PICC catheter, two groups of PICC tube operation performed by the sameexperienced and after formal training of nurses were. The incidence ofcatheter-related thrombosis compared two groups of the success rate ofcatheterization, puncture time and comfort of the puncture site. Statisticalanalysis was performed using SPSS19.0version of statistical software, statistical description using cross-sectional study, P <0.05had significantdifference. Results: two groups of patients with indwelling catheters in the totalsuccess rate of puncture was not statistically significant, the one-timesuccess rate of catheterization, puncture time, catheter-related thrombosisand satisfaction of patients was statistically significant. Conclusion: by color Doppler ultrasound, two groups of patients withPICC catheter, vein of external jugular catheterization analysis, record theexternal jugular vein thrombosis, found the external jugular vein by PICCcatheter thrombosis rate is low, the puncture time short, improve patientcomfort.
