Objective: This study aims to develop an exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation plan which is scientific as well as adaptable for individuals. Patients’ cardiac function reserve is expected to be improved through appropriate exercise prescription as well as their quality of life, which is beneficial for an early return to normal life. Methods: 58 cases of CHD patients after PCI,who were hospitalized in Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in China-Japan Union Hospital from April 2014 to March 2015,were randomly divided into group A and B. Each group consists of 29 patients. Group A is rehabilitation group and group B is the control group. Patients in the control group were given routine postoperative antiplatelet and lipid lowering drugs, while patients in the rehabilitation group were given gradual training exercise inspected by rehabilitation physicians in addition to post-PCI drugs. Using left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) to evaluate patients’ cardiac function before treatment and after 6-weeks of treatment respectively. Using SF-36 and life satisfaction rating scales(LSR) to test their quality of life. Results: 2 groups were compared in these aspects such as age, gender before treatment, and we found no statistically significant differences(P>0.05). 1.Rehabilitation group compared with the control group of cardiac function before and 6-weeks after treatment. After 6 weeks of treatment, patients in rehabilitation group have improved LVEF results compared with the control group(P<0.01). 2. Rehabilitation group compared with the control group of quality of life before and 6-weeks after treatment. After 6 weeks of treatment, patients in rehabilitation group have improved SF-36 and life satisfaction rating scales scores compared with the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion: Oral post-operative antiplatelet and lipid lowering drugs combined with exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation can improve cardiac function and quality of life in CHD patients after PCI,enabling them to return to normal life as early as possible.
