Background:In recent years, with the constant development of people’s living standard, patients with coronary heart disease combined with diabetes have becomeincreasingly. Since diabetes is an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease,so these patients usually have a relatively slower recovery after operation with higherincidence of complications. It is reported that82%patients with coronary heartdisease also possess diabetes at the same time. Coronary artery lesion will becomemore serious due to the effect of hyperglycemia, which increases the danger forpatients with coronary heart disease together with diabetes than patients with simplecoronary heart disease with more difficult treatment for the complex condition. Thepatients with coronary heart disease combined with diabetes will have a slowerrecovery after the coronary artery bypass grafting with higher incidence ofcomplications, belonging to high-risk groups for operation. Therefore, as for patientswith coronary heart disease and diabetes, more attention should be given to themduring preoperative period. Objectives:The research aims to formulate a rehabilitation plan which is adaptable forindividual demand with scientific basis. The postoperative patients are expected to beimproved for their cardiac function storage and coronary flow with increase of musclestrength so as to recover their cardiac function through rational rehabilitation trainingafter the operation including psychological adjustment, diet care, breathing exercise, blood glucose monitoring, exercise program and so on, which are beneficial for improving the patients’ life quality with a quick rehabilitation of patients withcoronary heart disease combined with diabetes.Methods:60patients with coronary heart disease combined with diabetes who had thecoronary artery bypass grafting in Siping city hospital from November2013to August2014are selected with random division of rehabilitation group and control group of30patients respectively. Patients in the rehabilitation group are given by rehabilitationnurse, while the control group only receives routine care and casual self exercise. Themain observation indicators are6-minute walk experiment, left ventricular ejectionfraction, evaluation form of life quality as well as postoperative complications. Results:Common materials before operation: there is no obvious difference betweenpatients in rehabilitation group and control group regarding their preoperativecommon materials.Relevant conditions after the operation: compared to control group, patients inrehabilitation group have obvious improvement for6-minute walk distance (P<0.01);left ventricular ejection fraction of patients in rehabilitation group has been greatly raised(P<0.01); besides, score of life quality including psychological health, emotional role, pain, socialfunctions and activity has statistical significance (P<0.05).ConclusionThe cardiac rehabilitation of patients with coronary heart disease combined withdiabetes after coronary artery bypass grafting can be better improved through rehabilitationinterventions with obvious improvement of life quality and exercise capability as well as lessrisk factors of coronary heart disease; besides, they will have less complications after theoperation with a better recovery and alteration of cardiac functions.
