Objective:Through the analysis of expression of metadherin between primary tumor of breast cancer and metastatic foci, rectify the relation between expression of metadherin and biological characteristics、survival time.we infere the influence of MTDH.Methods:1: We selected a total of 74 patients with metastatic breast cancer who were treated in our hospital from 2008 to 2014. In 74 patients with metastatic breast cancer, 26 cases had both primary and metastatic lesions. Among the other 48 cases, 24 had primary tumors and 24 had metastatic lesions. Finally, 50 cases of metastatic breast cancer, 50 cases of primary tumor, 50 cases of metastatic lesions and cases of primary tumor without metastasis were obtained. We statistically analyze the immunohisto- chemistry of MTDH between primary and metastasis tumor. 2: We randomly selected 55 patients without metastatic breast cancer, statistically analyze the immunohisto- chemistry of MTDH between their primary lesions and the same of the patients with metastasis.3: To improve the patients’ basic information, such as age and menstrual status, hormone level, molecular typing, diagnosis stage, tumor size, lymph node,disease-free survival, overall survival. Analyze the relation between MTDH expression and clinical pathological features.Results:26 of 124 patients in both primary and metastatic lesions, MTDH in primary tumor and metastases are strongly expressed in 18 cases(69.3%), low expression in the primary tumor and high expression in the metastasis are 5 cases(19.2%), high expression in the primary focus and low expression in the metastasis are 3 cases(11.5%), 0 cases of non strong expression. The metastatic breast cancer patients with a total of 50 cases of primary tumor, 50 cases of metastases, MTDH in primary foci of strong expression is 37, primary foci of nonstrong expression is 13,in metastasis of strong expression is 46, metastasis of non strong expression is 4(P=0.031). In 50 cases of breast cancer and metastatic breast cancer, the strong expression of MTDH is 24 cases, 37 cases, the non strong expression is 26 cases, 13cases(P<0.05). MTDH is a prognostic factor in breast cancer, but not the independent prognostic factors.Conclusion:1. In the primary breast cancer, MTDH high expression indicates that the transfer is likely to occur;2. PR expression was negative in breast cancer patients, MTDH was inclined to higher expression;3. MTDH high expression has no relation with metastatic site;4, MTDH is highly expressed in metastatic breast cancer, and it may become a new target for future therapy;5. MTDH is an independent prognostic factor for breast cancer DFS, but has no effect on the overall survival.
