Objective: Through the analysis of pathological characteristics, recurrencetime, location of estrogen receptor (ER) positive breast cancer with differentprogesterone receptor (PR) status, we infere the influence of PR.Methods: We collected ER-positive advanced183breast cancer patients inour hospital from March2007to April2014, depending on the state of PRpatients were divided these patients into two groups (PR+group and PR-group),We also analyzed these patients relapse and metastasis characteristics, treatmentand prognosis. Results: In the183patients with ER-positive advanced breast cancer,105patients are PR positive (PR+) patients,78patients are PR negative(PR-)patients. The median age at diagnosis of breast cancer was43and49years oldin the two groups, respectively. Premenopausal patients with PR+group of65.7%, PR-group of48.7%, two groups of postmenopausal patients were34.3%and51.3%, Ki-67expression (≥30%) of patients were31.4%and57.7%,HER-2-positive rates of the two groups were15.2%and35.9%, the incidence ofvascular thrombosis groups were21.9%and50.0%, histological grade (grade III)were11.4%and32.1%, the incidence of visceral metastasis was36.1%and 51.2%respectively, the incidence of bone metastases was43.8%and44.9%,respectively.Conclusion:1. Comparing with PR positive patients, the expression of Ki-67, HER-2was higher with higher histological grade, the higher the incidence of vascularthrombosis in the PR negative patients of ER-positive breast cancer patients.2. Comparing with PR positive patients, the PR negative patients are moreprone to visceral metastasis in the ER-positive breast cancer patients.3. Comparing with PR positive patients, disease free survival and overallsurvival was shorter with poorer prognosis in the PR negative patients ofER-positive breast cancer patients.4. Comparing with PR positive patients, PR is an independent prognosticfactor on breast cancer of disease-free survival in the ER-positive breast cancerpatients. |
