Objective:To observe and evaluate the curative effect of improved Tuina combined with physical therapy, on rotator cuff injury, for further clinical treatment on rotator cuff injury and provide objective basis.Methods:60 cases were chosen and randomly divided into Groups I (n=30, treated with improved Tuina combined with physical therapy), Groups II (n=30, treated only with improved Tuina). All of them were treated once a day.15 days was a course. The main symptoms and physical signs of rotator cuff injury, ROM and the score of VAS and UCLA were compared between the two groups, before and after a course of treatment. The short-term and long-term curative effect was observed. The measurement data was analyzed by t test, and the enumeration data was analyzed by chi-square test.Results:1. The score of the Group I of VAS and ROM have significant difference compared with the score of the same group before the treatment (P<0.01), it is better the others (P<0.05).2. According to the score of three groups of UCLA after a course of treatment, we found that the effective rate of Group I is 96.67%, the effective rate of Group II is 80%, and the effective rate of Group III is 83.33%.Conclusion:Improved Tuina and physical therapy have effect in improving rotator cuff injury, but improved Tuina combined with physical therapy is better than the others.
