| Objective:Modified si-miao powder and conventional western medicine were adopted to treat gout and their clinical efficacies and safeties were compared and analysed.Methods:By entering keywords into China Academic Journals Full-text Database, Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, Digital Periodical Full-text Database, USA medical Abstract Database and Springer Link Academic Resources, literatures on modified si-miao powder for gout during 1989.1-2015.3, which are only in English and Chinese, were searched. Then import the relevant literatures into Noteexpress2 literature managers, the literatures were screened according to inclusion and excluding criteria. According to the bias risk assessment tool recommended by Cochrane to evaluate quality of literature, the Cochrane collaboration statistical RevMan5.2 Meta analysis software was used to analyze.Results:There were 8 literatures involved in result analysis,7 are Chinese-language literature, the other one is English article. the quality of literature is still not high. Comparison of modified si-miao powder and conventional western medicine, Meta analysis shows that RR95%CI of ORR is 3.24[1.94,5.39], WMD95%CI of BUA is-71.74[-123.28,-20.19], WMD95%CI of ESR is-3[-5.86,-0.14], WMD95%CI of CRP is -2.532[-4.07,-0.99], and RR95%CI about rate of adverse reaction is 0.18[0.08,0.48]. There were statistical differences (P<0.05) in ORR、BUA、ESR、CRP and rate of adverse reaction.Conclusion:Compared with conventional western medicine, modified si-miao powder for gout is more efficient has lower rate of adverse reaction. So, modified si-miao powder has a better therapeutic effect and greater security. However, because there are all kinds of shortcoming in the studies and diversified interventions, there is no very definite evidence to prove in this conclusion is real and effective, that is to say:we need further, more rigorous, high level, large sample randomized controlled trial to verify the conclusion. |
