Object: To investigate the current situation and trends to the communicable diseases related to new EPI vaccines since the expanded immunization program was implemented in Akesu Prefecture. Then regulate the EPI work in the whole prefecture, improve the immune level of the population, control the prevalence of related diseases, and finally eliminate vaccine preventable diseases. Methods: The diseases incidence information was acquired from the ‘Chinese Information for Disease Control and Prevention’.Descriptive epidemiological method was applied to analyze the reported epidemic of Hepatitis A, Meningitis, Mumps, and Rubella in Akesu from2004 to 2014. Results: After the implementation of expanded immunization program in Akesu from 2009, the incidence of Hepatitis A, Meningitis, Mumps, and Rubella significantly decreased(P<0.05). The incidence feature of each disease from 2004 to 2014 was concluded as following, 1.6177 Hepatitis A cases were reported(annual incidence rate 23.57 pre 100000). Major epidemic can be seen every 2~3 years. Unimodal curve was presented with high incidence in Autumn and Winter, low incidence in Spring and Summer. Most cases were under 10 years old and the sex ratio was 1.37∶1.35.62% of the reported cases were scattered children. 2.72 Meningitis cases were reported(annual incidence rate 0.27 per100 000). Unimodal curve was presented with high incidence in Spring. Most cases were under 10 years old(50.59% of the total cases). The sex ratio was 1.67∶1.31.94% of the reported cases were scattered children.5965 Mumps cases were reported(annual incidence rate 22.76 per 100 000). Obvious seasonal character and peak incidence can be seen. Though the cases were reported in all age group, most cases were under 10 yearsold(62.18%). The sex ratio was 1.33∶1. most cases were school students(69.52%). 5965 Mumps cases were reported(annual incidence rate 22.76 per 100 000). Obvious seasonal character and peak incidence can be seen. Conclusion: The epidemic situation of Hepatitis A and Mumps reached moderate level in Akesu prefecture. Standardized work plan should be taken to improve the population immune level and reduce the incidence of the two diseases. The epidemic situation of Meningitis and Rubella was low level in Akesu. EPI work need to be proper implemented to maintain the low prevalence till the final aim of eradiation of related diseases.
