Objectives:In order to investigate the status and influence factors of quality of life of the physicians, and provide reference to improve the health status of physicians in our country. What’s more, this research puts forward reasonable, scientific and feasible countermeasures to improve the physical and mental health of medical personnel to from the perspective of administrative department of public health, medical institutions, individual physicians and social support. Methods:The research extracts 630 first-line clinical physicians as the object of study by using the method of random sample in a Class A tertiary hospital in Guangzhou from February to August in 2014. With a tool of the self-made health related quality of life questionnaire which was mainly composed of WHOQOL-BRFF to investigate the present situation of quality of life the physicians.Processing and analyzing the data by using SPSS13.0 and taking descriptive statistics, validity analysis, and one sample t test, two independent samples t test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple liner regression analysis to explore the level of quality of life of the physicians and influencing factors.Results:1. The results of reliability and validity showed that the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of health related quality of life questionnaire is 0.937.The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of four dimensions of physiology, psychology, social and environment ranges from 0.799 to 0.859. After by the Spearman-Brown formula, the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of split-half reliability is 0.856 and The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the four dimensions ranges from 0.721 to 0.830, which are more than 0.7. Factor analysis showed that the KMO value is 0.944.Bartlett’s test of hemispheric value is 8051.173 (df=325, P< 0.001). The cumulative contribution rate of the five characteristics which is characterized by factor values greater than I by the principle for the extraction was 63.375%.Therefore, the WHOQOL-BREF scale has good reliability and validity.2. The score of quality of life by self assessment is (3.14±0.83) and personal health its overall feels is (3.01±0.84).The scores of physiological field, psychological field, social field and the field of the environment were (14.44±2.29), (13.87±2.44), (14.15±2.65), (12.34±2.63). And the scores of the physical field, the psychological field and the field of the environment were lower than norm scores. The score of the social domain was higher than norm scores. One sample t test showed the differences had statistically significant between physicians and normal people (.P<0.05).3. The single factor analysis on influencing factors of quality of life for physicians a Class A tertiary hospital in Guangzhou.① Inthe field of physiology:gender (t=2.492,P=0.013), age (F=3.330, P=0.019), position (F=10.593, P=0.000),chronic diseases (F=-4.699, P=0.000), sl eeping quality (F=59.732,P=0.000), average sleep time per day (F=7.608, P=0.000), smoking (F=-2.259, P=0.024), drinking habits (F=3.121, P=0.045), diet (F=4.352, P=0.005), exercise times per month (F=10.128, P=0.000), working pressure (F=-3.366, P=0.001), job environment satisfaction (F=18.120, P=0.000), views on the improvement of the relationship between doctors and patients (F=7.240, P=0.001) had significant effects on physical domain (P<0.05).② In the field of psychology:age (F=7.965, P=0.000), marital status(F=6.488, P=0.002), title (F=8.258, P=0.000), position (F=14.008, P=0.000), chronic diseases (F=-2.752, P=0.006), sleep quality (F=39.012, P=0.000), average sleep time per day (F=6.047, P=0.000), smoking (F--2.822, P=0.005), diet (F=7.622, P=0.000), exercise times per month (F=13.611, P=0.000), working pressure (F=-5.406, P=0.000),job environment satisfaction (F=37.555, P=0.000), views on the improvement of the relationship between doctors and patients (F=13.595, P=0.001)had significant effects on the asocial field (P<0.05).③ In the field of society position (F=3.311, P=0.037), sleep quality (F=11.752, P=0.000), average sleep time per day (F=5.735, P=0.000), smoking (F=-2.271, P= 0.005), diet (F=3.927, P=0.009), exercise times per month (F=8.732, P=0.000), working pressure (F=-3.110, P=0.002), job environment satisfaction (F=37.555, P=0.000), views on the improvement of the relationship between doctors and patients (F=13.959, P=0.001)had significant effects on psychological field of physicians (P<0.05).④ In the field of environment:age (F=13.325, P=0.000), marital status(F=9.154, P=0.000), title (F=14.663, P=0.000), position (F=17.229,P=0.000), sleep quality (F=24.369, P=0.000), average sleep time per day (F=13.144, P=0.000), drinking habits (F=5.460, P=0.004), diet (F=11.499, P=0.000), exercise times per month (F=20.878, P-0.000), the average working time per day (F= 12.090, P=0.000), working pressure (F=-5.522, P=0.002), job security(F=2.107,P=0.036), job environment satisfaction (F=60.116, P=0.000), views on the improvement of the relationship between doctors and patients (F=21.444, P=0.001) had significant effects on the environmental field of physicians (P<0.05).4. Multiple liner regression analysis showed that sex, sleep quality, drinking habits, exercise times per month and job environment satisfaction were related to the field of physiology (P<0.05); title, sleep quality, smoking, exercise times per month and job environment satisfaction were related to the field of psychology (P<0.05); sleep quality, average sleep time per day, exercise times per month and job environment satisfaction were related to the field of society (P<0.05); title, sleep quality, average daily sleep time, drinking habits, exercise times per month, job environment satisfaction.views on the improvement of the relationship between doctors and patients were related to the field of environment (P<0.05).Conclusions:1. The WHOQOL-BRFF scale for the assessment of quality of life of physicians in a Class A tertiary hospital in Guangzhou in Guangzhou has good reliability and validity. It can be used as a tool to evaluate the quality of life of of physicians in a Class A tertiary hospital in Guangzhou in Guangzhou.2. The scores of psychological field, physiological field and field of environment of health related quality of life of physicians were lower than normal people. Thus, we must pay enough attention to them and Take measures to improve the quality of life of physicians.3. Different demographic characteristics, lifestyle and work related factors have different effects on a or a plurality of areas of the quality of life for the physicians. It should be take different measures to improve he status of the quality of life of the physicians from different perspectives.4. This research puts forward reasonable, scientific and feasible countermeasures to improve the physical and mental health of medical personnel to from the perspective of administrative department of public health, medical institutions, individual physicians and society.
