Objective:To investigate the relationship between osteocalcin (OC) and the cerebral artery atherosclerosis. Methods:A total of 68 patients diagnosed as cerebral artery atherosclerosis from March 2013 to January 2014 as the experiment group and to choose 52 healthy persons in the same period as the control group, then to compare the differences of serum osteocalcin concentration. Results:The serum osteocalcin concentration of the experiment group was significantly lower than control group (χ2-56.8, p<0.05)。 the serum osteocalcin concentration of patients with Two-vessel stenosis was significantly lower than single-vessel disease(t=5.75, p<0.05). And the serum osteocalcin concentration of patients with more than three-vessel disease was significantly lower than two-vessel disease(t=7.48, p<0.05).Conclusion:serum osteocalcin concentration could be negatively correlated to the cerebral artery atherosclerosis content.
