Objective:The purpose of this study is to explore the calculation method of cervical vertebra bone age and individual age of application of cervical vertebra bone age ã€dental age of 8-15 children and adolescents in in taiyuan district.In order to provide a scientific, simple and suit for biological age inference in clinical practice for young children. Method:The samples were collected from shanxi medical university stomatological hospital of 203 in taiyuan district of children of X-ray lateral radiographic films and mouth full of surface fault aged from 8 to 15,92 men(about 45%),111 women(about 55%).The first part : It refers to the modified Mito cervical vertebra bone age method and it used Ai Jian head shadow measurement software to measure the third and the fourth cervical vertebra index.At last,It used the method of stepwise linear regression to infer individual age formulas.The second part: Demirjian method is used to determine seven permanent teeth’s development in the left mandibular,it is calculated the points by rating scale and compared with the sample actual age.The third part: The above two kinds of method are estimated a known age individual,in order to evaluate the applicability of the two methods related to the chronological age assessment for young adults. Result:(1) Establish a biological age judgment formula by using the third and fourth cervical vertebra index.Male: CVBA = 3.72 + 5.97(3 qh/c3 wide) + 6.41(MH4 / c4 wide)-0.23(4 qh / 4 hh) + 3.33 tanα3Female: CVBV = 6.05 + 1.40(3 qh/c3 wide)(MH4 / c4 wide) + 2.57 + 3.67(4 qh / 4 hh) + 3.25tanα4(2) Demirjian method is used to determine the dental age of youngster and children in Tai yuan area, It exists no differences among 8 to 10(P>0.05) and indicates Demirjian method fits for this age group.It exists differences between 11-15.On the whole,it exists significant differences with the actual age, women overestimate 0.31 years on average, men overestimate 0.43 years on average, It needs to do some correction when Demirjian method is used to estimate age.(3) The above two methods in inference to physisological age of adolescent aged 8-15 are not identical,In the year of 8-10 the Demirjian method is the best way, The equation of cervical vertebra bone age is best for the young adults of 11-15. Conclusions:In summary,The equation of cervical vertebra bone age can be taken as references to the Taiyuan area.The Demirjian method must do some correction when used in teenager age inference. On the basis of roughly estimated the age for the different age groups of adolescents,It is choosed the more appropriate quantitative indicators in the determination of individual chronological age... |
