Objective:Eyes occupy an important position in the face aesthetics, the shape of one’s eyes not only refers to the length and width of the palpebral fissure in the facial proportions, but also can express one’s temperament. There is no doubt that the moderately increased length and width of the palpebral fissure can enhance one’s beauty. We can achieve the goal by having operations of the double eyelidplasty combined with the epicanthoplasy. Many people with the single eyelid and the epicanthus at the same time having a downward oblique or horizontal palpebral fissure. Asians conserder the moderate upturned eye-shape beautiful, and the downward one looks so decadent. So we added changing angles of palpebral fissure to the design of the operation. Combine the doctor’s subjective fellings of aesthetics with patients’ requests meanwhile, and reshape the shape of eyes fully, for the better performance of everyone’s beauty. Thus we designed the double eyelidplasty combined with the transverse-art epicanthoplasy, explored the clinical application and do the related analysis.Methods:74 patients which from Lidu Mordern Cosmeticï¹ Surgery Hospital of Taiyuan during 9/2013 to 7/2014 with the single eyelid and the epicanthus were treated with the double eyelidplasty and the surgery of transverse-art epicanthoplasy.Using a "âŒ'" to connect the point of inner canthus corner with the surface projective of it which is on the epicanthus. Extent the cut about 5-8mm parally from the original inner canthus point to the place that is bellow the lower eyelid 2mm, then separate the subcutaneous with skins bellow or upon the incision fully, cut off parts of the orbicularis muscleswhich is disordered in its starts on the superficial of the canthal ligaments, having placating suture in superficial canthal ligaments, and close incisions without tension.Execute thedouble eyelid surgery as usual, the important is to make the upper incision of the inner canthus conform the eyelid incision, that is to say keep about 5mm skins between them continuously, and make the down incision of the inner canthus along the shape of the lower eyelid.Resluts:The clinical application of 74 cases, on 1st,3rd month after the operation the patients were called back, all patients’ canthal angle were exposed well. 11 cases appearanced white linear scars on the inner canthus.3 patients with mild open degree asymmetry of bilateral epicanthal. The continuity of the lower eyelid orbicularis muscle in one patient isn’t well. And the others all had smooth eyelid line, natural inner canthus and unconspicuous scars. Conclusion:The transverse-arc epicanthoplasy is simple designed, it relieves the causes of the epicanthus fundamentally by removing the dislocation orbicularis muscles; and reduces the relapse rate, the incision tension, the scarring formation by inner canthal ligament fold; it’s also relatively flexible in fixing new canthus point, to adjust palpebral fissure axis. During the operation, there is no need to do all kinds of micro-flaps and conduct a more sophisticated pruning, just suture the cuts directly. This surgery accessed exact postoperative effect, with smooth eyelid line, natural inner canthus and unconspicuous scars. It is can be widely used in clinical.
