| Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Peishi Shengxue Granule combined with the chemotherapy and Zhenqi Fuzheng Granule in treating Middle-advanced stage of gastric cancer in improving patients’ quality of life,TCM symptoms and relieving the side-effect resulted from chemotherapy drugs(enhancing efficacy and decreasing toxicity) through randomized controlled study which was compared with Zhenqi Fuzheng granule,in order to provide scientific evidence for Peishi Shengxue Granule in treating Middle-advanced stage of gastric cancer and a more scientific and effective Combined treatment for Middle-advanced stage of gastric cancer.Methods 56 patients meeting the diagnostic criteria for middle-late gastric cancer were included and randomized allocated,with each group 28 cases.Both groups of patients were given standard FOLFOX4 Schemes for chemotherapy:CF 200 mg intravenous drip,1-5 days(before 5-Fu),L-OHP 85 mg/m2 intravenous drip 2 hours day 1,5-Fu 500 mg/m21-5 days,intravenous drip which repeated every 4 weeks.At the same time symptomatic support treatment like anti-nausea,analgesia,hemostasis,etc.were administered.A pack(15g) of Peishi Shengxue Granule combined and Zhenqi Fuzheng granule was taken orally twice a day in treatment group and control group respectively from the first day when chemotherapy began.And one period included two cycles of chemotherapy.Karnofsky scoring,syndrome of TCM,weight,value of markers related to stomach tumor,blood routine and the change of liver and kidney function were observed before and after medication in two groups.Results 27 patients in the treatment group and 28 patients in the controlled group were finally finished in our study.①The quality of life:The difference of the Karnofsky scoring between the two groups was significant statistically(P<0.05).②The weight:Patients’ weight in treatment group and the control group decreased,but the difference was not significant.③The recent clinical effect:There were 11 cases(40.74%) of partial remission,10 cases(37.04%) with stabilization of disease,6 cases(22.22%) with disease progression in the treatment group and 10cases(35.71%) of partial remission,9 cases(32.14%) with stabilization of disease,9 cases(32.14%) with disease progression in the controlled group. ④ TCM syndrome improvement:16 cases had marked effect,9 cases effect and 2 cases no effect in the treatment group and 9 cases had marked effect,10 cases effect and 9 cases no effect in the controlled group.The total effective rate in improving syndrome of TCM in treatment group and the control group was 88.9% and 75.0% separately.The difference of TCM syndrome improvement between the two groups was significant statistically(P<0.05)through X2 test.⑤The value of tumor-related markers:The difference of the value of CA199、CEA between the two groups after treatment was significant statistically(P<0.05)through t test and The difference of the value of CA724 in the treatment group before and after treatment were significant statistically(P<0.05)while in the controlled group before and after treatment were not significant statistically( P > 0.05). ⑥ Relieving chemotherapy drug-related adverse reaction:The main Toxicity reaction in two groups were myelosuppression,including the decrease of WBC、HGB and PLT count.The difference in liver and kidney function lesion between two groups was not significant.Nausea and vomiting,diarrhea were the main clinic-related adverse reaction which were slighter in the treatment group than the controlled group.Conclusion Peishi Shengxue Granule combined with the chemotherapy in treating Middle-advanced stage of gastric cancer can improve patients’ quality of life significantly,TCM symptoms and relieve the side-effect resulted from chemotherapy drugs and reduce the levels of tumor-related markers in middle-late gastric cancer patients as well as enhance the body’s immune function,so as to achieve antitumor effect.The clinical effect of Peishi Shengxue Granule combined with the chemotherapy is more significant than Zhenqi Fuzheng granule in treating Middle-advanced stage of gastric cancer on recovering Zhengqi and relieving the side-effect resulted from chemotherapy drugs.It is worth of popularly application. |
