| ObjectivesTo observe the characteristics of VEMP which is elicited by different stimulating pattern, and to explore its developing clinical sfnificance. Subjectives and methods22 healthy subjects(10 male and 12 femal), who are no hearing loss, no special history and aged between 21 to 28. They are taken the 95 db n HL 500 Hz short tone burst to record c VEMP and o VEMP. Using SPSS19.0 to calculate the 95% confidence interval of each parameter value, and to compare the interaural differences and gender differences. Comparing click-c VEMP with STB-c VEMP, and closed-o VEMP with stared-o VEMP. Results1.The results of c-VEMP: the prevalence is 100%, p13 latency period:(13.48±0.84)ms,n23 latency period:(20.79±1.37)ms,p13n23 wave amplitude:(124.49±57.67)μV. No statistically significant difference between the ears, and between the gender.2.The results of o-VEMP: the prevalence is 100%, n1 latency period :(10.74±0.89)ms, p1 latency period :(15.10±1.24)ms, n1p1 wave amplitude :(5.35±3.58)μV. No statistically significant difference between the ears, and between the gender.3. The results of click-c VEMP: the prevalence is 50.00%,p1 latency period:(11.53±3.31)ms,n1 latency period:(17.54±3.47)ms,p1n1 wave amplitude:(62.59±31.48)μV。4. Head hanging and closed eyes-o VEMP: the prevalence is 90.91%, n1 latency period:(12.41±1.52)ms,p1 latency period:(18.03±1.30)ms,n1p1 wave amplitude:(2.56±1.55) μV。 Conclusions1.As previous researches, the prevelance of c VEMP and o VEMP are 100%. The c VEMP and o VEMP are very stable, symmetrical, and no gender difference.2. My conclusion is consisitent with current research, short tone burst is better than click as stimulation to c VEMP. 3. In my study conclusion that the o VEMP is derivated well under head hanging and closed eyes. The new body position may aplliing to clinic. |
