Objective To observe the correlation between the severe coronary artery stenosis and left ventricular function evaluated by Dual-source computed tomography. Methods 95 suspected or confirmed cases of coronary heart disease during the period between Jan. 2014 and Jan. 2015 were collected from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, among which 62 patients were confirmed to suffer severe CAS after being examined by DSCT angiography and 33 negative. The parameters of ejection fraction(EF), end systolic volume(ESV), end diastolic volume(EDV), stroke volume(SV), cardiac output(CO) and myocardial mass(MM) were obtained after the original data was evaluated automatically by the cardiac function software. And then a statistical analysis was conducted to find the influences of different severe coronary artery branches stenosis and the number of severe coronary artery stenosis on left ventricular function. Results 1. The number of branches with severe coronary artery stenosis and the index measurements of left ventricular function showed that compared to zero angiopathy group, single angiopathy group and multipleangiopathy group were both lower in EF measurements and higher in ESV, EDV and MM measurements, which was statistically significant(all P<0.05), yet, there were no significant statistical difference in either SV or CO measurements(both P>0.05). What was more, compared to those in single angiopathy group, MM measurements in multiple group rose up, which was of statistical significance(P<0.05), however, there were no significant statistical difference in EDV,ESV,EF,SV,and CO measurements between multiple group and single angiopathy group(all P>0.05). 2. Compared to normal groups, each severe coronary artery branches stenosis groupwas lower in EF measurements but higher in MM measurements, both differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05), yet, differences in SV and CO measurements were not statistically significant(all P>0.05). The measurements of EDV,ESV in the severe left anterior descending branch stenosis group and the severe left circumflex branch stenosis group were both higher compared to normal groups, and this was statistically significant(all P<0.05). But the severe right coronary artery stenosis group had no statistical difference compared to normal groups(P>0.05). In addition, when comparing all severe coronary artery branches stenosis groups with each other, no statistical difference was found in EF, SV, ESV, EDV, CO, or MM measurements either(all P>0.05).Conclusion 1.The more branches with severe coronary artery stenosis there are, the greater damages there will be in left ventricular function, which can be seen obviously in left ventricular mass. 2.Severe stenosis in different coronary artery branches will cause a left ventricular function reduction, and as for influences on end diastolic volume and end systolic volume especially, severe stenosis in left anterior descending branch and left circumflex branch are prior to other factors.
