Objective:1.Contrast the figure characteristics of nystagmus of the BPPV patients and normal group, to explore whether there is a difference between both.2.Contrast the figure characteristics of nystagmus of recurrent and non-recurrent patients with BPPV,to explore the characteristics of videonystagmography examination in the role of BPPV treatment and relapse. Methods:Collected in June 2013 to December 2013 in Department of Otolaryngology of the First Clinical Hospital of Shanxi Medical University diagnosis for the patients with BPPV79 cases, at the end of the follow-up, according to the standard of recurrence were divided into group of 26 cases of recurrence and a group of 53 cases of non-recurrence. Select 40 cases of healthy people whose age,sex matching of 79 patients with BPPV, making videonystagmography examination respectively. All the data is analysed by SPSS 13.0.Results:1.depending on the eye movement system checks, including scanning inspection, smooth track inspection, visual inspection and gaze,BPPV group and the normal group, recurrent and non-recurrent group had no statistical significance.2. Spontaneous eye examination, BPPV group and the normal group, recurrent and non-recurrent group had no statistical significance.3.Caloric test, normal group UW2 cases(5.00%), BPPV group UW45 examples(57.00%), the two comparative difference was statistically significant(X2 = 30.004, P<0.001).4.Recurrent group UW19 example(73.08%),non-recurrent group UW26 cases(49.06%), the two comparative difference was statistically significant(X2= 4.11, P<0.05).Recurrent group and non-recurrent group was statistically significant difference in UW degree(X2= 7.11, P<0.01).5.45 cases of abnormal caloric test in patients with BPPV, semicircular canal function weakened side and lesion side inconsistent rate is high(57.78%).6.Patients with posterior semicircular canal BPPV UW31 cases(56.36%), horizontal semicircular canal BPPV UW14 cases(58.33%), there was no statistically significant difference compare between them(X2= 0.02, P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Depending on the eye movement system check, the normal group and BPPV group and recurrence group and non-recurrence group were not statistically significant, prompt BPPV peripheral vestibular lesions.2.The incidence of UW BPPV group was significantly higher than that of normal group.3.Recurrent group of UW rate higher than non-recurrent group, and degree of recurrent group UW heavier than non-recurrent group.4.BPPV semicircular canal function weakened side and lesion side inconsistent rate is high, prompting the inner ear may exist extensive lesions, and not just affected by otolith.5.The caloric test provide reference basis for the treatment and prognosis of patients with BPPV.
