Objective:To investigate the TNF-α、IL-6、ICAM-1 level in patients of type 2 diabetes m ellitus with subclinical hypothyroidism.Methods:100 cases, who were inpatients, outpatients,or for physical examination in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from October 2014 to March2015,were involved in this research according to the inclusion criteria and they we re categorized into 4 groups:10 cases of normal control group(NC group), 30 cas es of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM group), 30 cases of subclinical hypothyroidis m(SCH group), 30 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with subclinical hypo thyroidism.(T2DM+SCH group). The data of the cases such as gender, age, diagnosis, history of present illness, past medical history were recorded. The levels of TNF-α、IL-6、ICAM-1 for each group were measured by Enzyme-linked immuno sorbent as say(ELISA), the glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),the serurn levels of free triiodot hyronine ammonia(FT3),free thyroxine(FT4),and thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH)were also tested. All data were analyzed by LSD-t, to test TNF-α、IL-6 and ICAM-1 level in patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus with and subclinical hypothyroidism. Results:Compared with NC group, the level of TNF-α, IL-6 and ICAM-1expression was increased in the other three groups, the difference was statistically significant( P< 0.05).In which the level of TNF-α, IL-6 in T2DM+SCH group of is the highest in the other three groups(P < 0.05), there was no statistically significant difference in the T2 DM group compared with which in SCH group;ICAM-1 expression level minimum in SCH group(P < 0.05), and no statistically significant difference in T2 DM group compared with T2DM+SCH group.Conclusions:1.TNF-α and IL-6 levels in patients with type 2 diabetes with subclinical hypoth yroidism increased significantly, there may be a common origin of chronic inflamm ation in type 2 diabetes and subclinical hypothyroidism.2.TNF-α, IL-6 has the potential to be evaluation in patients with type 2 diabete s mellitus with the subclinical hypothyroidism risk big vascular lesions early diagno stic markers, which provide guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
