| Objective: By studying the effects of different types of appliances on the quality of life of patients and compare the impact of different kinds of appliances at different times of the quality of life of patients, learning the course of treatment of patients with psychological changes, subjective feelings, and establishing a good doctor-patient relationship, or provide patients reference when choosing the appliances.Methods: Randomized collected orthodontic clinic patients treated 327 cases,including 102 cases by ligating bracket appliance, and 179 cases were treated with self-locking bracket appliance, 46 cases with invisalign,these cases were collected from three Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Hospital District Orthodontics from 2014.2 to 2015.2. These patients with different appliances were divided into three groups ligation group,self-locking group and invisible group. Investigate the patients with different types of orthodontic appliances by oral health impact profile(Oral Health Impact Profile,OHIP), they were asked to fill in the modified OHIP scale in the first week, the fourth week,the twelfth week and twenty-fourth week.All data after finishing all put into the computer, using the software of SPSS17 on the scale total score and subscale scores were rank sum test according to the object of study for each category. Considering the non normal distribution of the variables, so the choice of median M index and the four percentile interval Q.Results: Orthodontic treatment on patients had a significant effect on the quality of life, especially in the first and fourth weeks. The three kinds of appliance for dysfunction have significant effect on the dimensionality of dysfunction, physical pain, psychological discomfort and social obstacles.There was no significant difference on overall score of Gender, motivation and emotional state of the patients less than older group on the total score.There is a significant difference on the total score and every dimensionality between younger group and elder group, as well as the state of education and the address of the patients. Each dimension has the obvious difference, degree of individual culture and patients live with has a great influence on the total score. There is no significant difference on the classic ligation and correcting device with self-locking, stealth rectification device points lower than the previous two rectification device, and have significant statistical difference.Conclusion:Orthodontic treatment affects the life quality of the patients of, a nd particularly in the early stages. Age, record of formal schooling and resid ence will also affect the score of patients.Compared with ligation braces and self-locking correcting device, there is a smaller effect on the patient’s life quality. |
