Objective: The aim of the study is to analyze the prevalence trend and risk factors for nonalcoholic fatty liver in a community population in Guangzhou City between 2011 and 2014.Methods: 1. The data is collected from healthy physical examination data of a community staff between 2011 and 2014, in order to analysis the prevalence trend and risk factors of nonalcoholic fatty liver. 2. Divided the patients into two groups according to present or absent of nonalcoholic fatty liver, analysis following factors:age, sex, body mass index(BMI),blood pressure, glucose, total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein(HDL),low-density lipoprotein(LDL), uric acid(UA), use univariate analysis( the t-test or Chi-square)and multivariate analysis(logistic regression) to find out the risk factors of nonalcoholic fatty liver. Results: 1. The prevalence rates of NAFLD from 2011 to 2014 were 21.64%,24.05%,22.20%, 26.16%, it was going up year after year;the prevalence of NAFLD increased with the age and is about 10 percentage points higher with each 10 years growth, the highest prevalence rates of NAFLD were found in participants aged 55 to 65 years;the prevalence of NAFLD increased with the BMI and obesity(BMI>25) is about 7-9times higher than normal weight(18.5<BMI=23). 2. Univariate analysis results showed that age, sex, BMI, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, high TC, high TG, high LDL, high UA have significant difference between the present nonalcoholic fatty liver and absent nonalcoholic fatty liver. 3. Logistic regression analysis results showed that age(≥55), BMI(>25), diabetes mellitus, high TG, low HDL selected for the regression model(P<0.05).Conclusion: The prevalence rate of NAFLD in the community population is high and has a rising trend. Old ones( ≥ 55),obesity(BMI>25),diabetes mellitus, high TG may be the risk factors of nonalcoholic fatty liver.
