Study On Academic Origin And Theoretical Features Of Theory Of Spleen And Stomach

Purpose: By the theory of Huang Di Nei Jing, Nan Jing, Mai Jing, etc. and the works of Li Dongyuan’s to study theoretical features of Theory of Spleen and Stomach and to summarize Li Dongyuan’s academic thoughts and to be better applied in theory and clinic.Methods:(1)To summarize the physiological and pathological characteristics of spleen-stomach, the treatment methods of spleen-stomach disease and the thoughts of health preservation of Theory of Spleen and Stomach by reviewing literature. At the same time, to study the academic origin and theoretical features of Theory of Spleen and Stomach though the theory of Huang Di Nei Jing, Nan Jing, Mai Jing, etc.Results: Li Dongyuan’s academic thoughts were based on the theory of Huang Di Nei Jing,Nan Jing, Shang Han Lun, etc. By learning from famous doctors and summarizing these doctors’ academic thoughts and combining clinical experiences, Li Dongyuan made the theory of spleen-stomach abundantly. There are following aspects of theoretical features:(1)By using classical theory to explain the diseases’ mechanism and treatment methods and the importance of spleen-stomach.(2) Li Dongyuan paid more attention on spleen-stomach especially stomach.(3) The features of Li Dongyuan’s medication and prescription in herbal was good at using herbs of spleen-stomach. For example, Li Dongyuan treated spontaneous perspiration,flaccidity syndrome, syncope collapse, fluid-retention syndrome, alcoholism, and diseases of five internal organs and nine apertures by spleen and stomach.(4) To recuperate organism especially spleen and stomach by using herbs and foods.(5)In the aspects of health preservation,emphasizing on spleen and stomach.Conclusions:(1)Li Dongyuan explained the clinical theory and treatment methods by classical theory of Huang Di Nei Jing, Nan Jing, Shang Han Lun, etc.(2)Dialectical in detail,and main symptoms and secondary symptoms are clearly.(3)According to climate features of four seasons to medicate, and following the root of traditional culture about monarch, minister and assistant.(4) Li Dongyuan paid more attention to spleen-stomach during treatment.(5)The methods of health preservation were discussed in detail.
