Obiective:To detect the expression of FOXM1 and C-myc in normal cervical and early-stage cervical cancer, and explore the role of FOXM1 and C-myc in the development of cervical cancer, the relationship between the clinical pathological features, also the impact on prognosis. Methods:The expression of FOXM1 and C-myc in 25 cases of normal cervical tissues and98 cases of early-stage cervical cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical Elivision two-stages method, then statistical analysis. Analyzed the relationship between the age, FIGO stage, histological grade, depth of myometrial invasion, vaginal stump carcinoma, lymphatic metastasis. Followed-up the patients and statisticed the survival time, then performed Kaplan-Meier survival curve analysis, to explore the relationship between the expression of FOXM1 and C-myc with prognosis.Results:1. FOXM1 was detected in normal cervical tissues and cervical cancer tissues, the positive expression rate is 8% and 73.4%, respectively. The two groups statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The expression of FOXM1 was related to FIGO stage, histopathologic grade and depth of myometrial invasion(P<0.05). No relationship with age, growth type, lymphatic metastasis, vascular invasion and vaginal involvement(P>0.05).2. C-myc was detected in normal cervical tissues and cervical cancer tissues, the positive expression rate is 44% and 64.3%, respectively. The two groups statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The expression of C-myc was related to FIGO stage, histopathologic grade and depth of myometrial invasion(P<0.05). Norelationship with age, growth type, vascular invasion, lymphatic metastasis and vaginal involvement(P>0.05).3. Spearman rank correlation analysis showed: positive correlation between FOXM1 and C-myc in Cervical Cancer(r=0.227, P=0.024).4.High expression of FOXM1 and C-myc associated with poor prognosis in Cervical Cancer, the 5-years survival rate in low or no expression group was higher than the high expression group(P<0.05).Conclusions:1. The expression of FOXM1 and C-myc were detected both in normal cervical tissues and cervical cancer tissues, with the progress of the disease, the higher the positive expression rate. Indicated that they were played an important role in the development of cervical cancer.2. FOXM1 and C-myc may have a synergistic mechanism action in the progression of the cervical cancer, to make the cell abnormal proliferation and invasion.3.Indecated that the expression level of FOXM1 and C-myc is closely related to the prognosis of cervical cancer.
