Objective We studied the main pathogenic bacteria in respiratory intensive care unit ofahospital in order to offer guidance for the clinical treatment. Methods Atotleof 968 airway secretion specimens of 1224 patientswith lower respiratory tract infection in the respiratory intensive care unit ofa hospitalwerecollected, culteredand tested from June 2010 to June 2014. Among them, there were 417 specimens from tracheal intubation patients and 551 specimens from patients without tracheal intubation. We identified the bacteria anddetected the drug sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics.Results:1. From June 2010 to June 2014 Inrespiratory ICU of the hospital, the top 5 detection of bacteria was: Acinetobacter(28.72%, 278/968),Candida(13.33%, 129/968), Klebsiella pneumoniae(11.05%, 107/968),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(9.81%, 95/968), and Escherichiacoli(6.92%, 67/968).2. The top 5 bacterium of the tracheal intubation patients were: Acinetobacter(34.77%, 145/417),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(10.79%,45/417), Candida albicans(10.55%, 44/41.7), Klebsiella pneumoniae(9.83%, 41/417)and Staphylococcus aureus(7.91%,33/417).3. The top 5 bacterium from patients without tracheal intubation were: Acinetobacter(24.14%, 133/551), Candida albicans(15.43%, 85/551), Klebsiella pneumoniae(11.98%, 66/551), Pseudomonas aeruginosa(9.07%, 50/551), and Escherichia coli(7.99%, 44/551).4. The sensitive to polymyxinwasthe most in the negative gram bacterium(more than 89%).The drug sensitivity of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichiacoliw Qr Qmor Q than 95%. The drug sensitivity of pseudomonas aeruginosato meropenem(72.18%) was higher thanthat to imipenem(57.39%).The drug sensitivity of Acinetobacter and Pseudomonasaeruginosas QYQmov Q than 90%.6. The drug sensitivity ofthe positive gram bacteria, suchas Staphylococcus aureus, was idendified. It had high drug sensitivity to topolymyxin, nitrofurantoin, linezolid?vancomycin and trimethoprim(more than 94%) while This kind of bacteria had a low drug sensitivity to penicillins and cephalosporins antibiotics(the highest is 27.75%). Its drug sensitivity to quinolones was relatively low(the highest is 86.75%).7. Candidahad the highest detection rate among fungi, which had high drug sensitivity to amphotericin and flucytosine(more than 95%.)Conclusions? The Acinetobacter and the other negative gram bacterium, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, are the most commonpathogensfrom the patients with lower respiratory tract infection in the respiratory intensive care unit of the hospital.Candidaranked only second to Acinetobacter’mih Q lower respiratory tract infection patients of non tracheal intubation of the respiratory intensive care unit of the hospital. Measures of strengthening the supervision of the antibiotic should be taken to control the fungal infection..Staphylococcusaureus\was the mostinthe gram positivebacteriafrom the patientsof lower respiratory airway tractinfection.. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus are the the most common and importantdrug-res istant bacteria.
