Objective:Using 3.0T MRI to investigate the value of susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI) in cerebral microbleeds(CMBs)of Chronic Mountain Sickness(CMS).Methods:20 patients who were diagnosed with chronic mountain sickness( CMS) were collected as study group,20 volunteers as control were studied at the same time.Using 3.0T MRI scanner operated conventional MRI scanning and SWI sequence. According to compare the positive rate of CMBs between two groups, analyzes the relations between CMBs and CMS.Observed the signal characteristics of CMBs in conventional MRI and SWI sequence,as well as recorded the position and numbers, and analyze the relationship between the CMBs and the degree of CMS(CMS score). Get the vein imaging by using minimum density projection(MIP) to process the SWI image,and Analysis the correlation of two group differences showed of venules with CMS.Using chi-square to analysis the data.Results:1、 CMBs was detected 11 of 20 in CMS(55%), and detected 2 of 20 in control group(10%);2、CMBs in SWI sequence for the class circular low signal area, and there were no obvious CMBs in the two groups routine scan sequence;3、Total of the 13 positive cases, 9 cases of CMBs appear in the The cerebral cortex area,while basal ganglia 4 case,the hypothalamus and brainstem each 1 case;The total numbers of CMBs are 22, and most in the cortex and basal ganglia region distribution, respectively for 12(54.5%), 7(31.8%);4、SWI vein image showed intracranial venules in CMS group was markedly increased than the control group;5、 According to the Diagnostic Criteria in Qing Hai of the Chronic Mountain Sickness,CMS can be divided into light(5cases), medium(9cases), heavy(6cases) three degrees.According to the statistical analysis,This research shows that the occurrence of CMBs was no significant difference with the severity of CMS(P > 0.05).Conclusion:1、CMS group detection positive rate of micro brain hemorrhage stove was obviously higher than that of normal control group;2、Two groups has not been detection CMBs in routine scan sequence, and further confirmed the SWI sequence have obvious advantage to check out the CMBs;3、 According to the CMBs in the detection of intracranial part, through statistical analysis, CMBs usually occur in cortex and basal ganglia region; 4 、 The occurrence of CMS can cause small intracranial venous compensatory increase;5、This research shows that the occurrence of CMBs was no significant difference with the severity of CMS(P>0.05).
