Objective: Through the establishment of three different elevation of animal experimental model, study contrast in rat plasma SOD、MDA level changes, aimed to explore different altitude changing of SOD activity and MDA content in plasma of rats, for acute or chronic damage under high altitude hypoxia environment provide important theoretical basis for the prevention and cure.Methods:Twenty-four male rats were randomly divided into three groups, lower altitude control group(10 m), moderate altitude group(2 260 m) and very high altitude group(simulated 5 000 m). The moderate altitude group and very high altitude group rats were transported to Xining and hypobaric chamber in Qinghai University, respectively. The peripheral blood specimens were extracted 30 d after the transportation.By means of TBA and WST-1 methods, the plasma content of MDA and SOD activity were measured. Results: In the control group rats plasma the level of SOD 、 MDA respectively(19.98±1.57)、(2.28±0.68), In moderate altitude group rats plasma the level of SOD、MDA respectively(19.06±1.24)、(2.76±0.34),In high altitude group rats plasma the level of SOD、MDA respectively(10.34±1.19)、(6.35±0.58). Simulated high altitude group in rat plasma SOD activity and MDA content were significantly higher in altitude group and the control group(P<0.001); In altitude group in rat plasma SOD vitality and MDA content were slightly lower than the control group, higher than Simulated high altitude group(P<0.001).Conclusion: The very high altitude group showed decreased SOD activities and increased level of MDA compared with the other two groups.
