Psychosis is a group of mental illnesses. The person suffering from psychosis loses touch with reality and his thought process, feelings, emotions and perceptions are altered. Iloperidone is one of the atypical antipsychotics.In this paper, the quality of iloperidong has been investigated, and the analytical methods for the materials have also been developed. In the investigation, character(appearance, solubility, melting point), character(UV spectrophotometry, infrared spectroscopy method), heck(related substances, loss on drying, residue on ignition, heavy metals, chlorides) and content was detected. The validated analytical procedures can be used to analyze the impurities and the purity of the product effectively. The research shows that this standard can control the quality of the iloperidone.
