The Efficacy Evaluation Of Hepatic Cirrhosis Ascites Treated With The Umbilical Sticking Of “ Zhuo Mai Powder” And Moxibustion Therapy

Objectives We applied the umbilical sticking of― Zhuo Mai Powder‖ and moxibustion therapy to treatment of hepatic cirrhosis ascites, and observed the variation of every clinical indexes,then evaluated the clinical effect,and preliminarily discussed the mechanism.Methods First of all, We had to make standards of diagnosis for hepatic cirrhosis ascites, then randomly divided them into the treated group and the control group,and there were 30 cases in each group. They have no differences in general datas by statistic analysis. Each group had its own treatment method. It was the conventional treatment that the control group was given, including diuresis and the protection of liver, the treated group add ―Zhuo Mai San‖applying the umbilical combined with moxibustion therapy on the treatment of the control group. A course of treatment composed of 30 days, After which we observed and recorded the changes of Symptoms, Signs, weight, circumference of abdomen, amount of urine for 24 hours, changes of ascites by abdominal Doppler ultrasound, liver function, pylic width and splenic thickness, then compared the differences between the treated group and the control group in the pre and post treatment with statistical analysis.Results In the treated group, the total response rate was 86.67%, the total response rate was 76.67% in the other group. The curative effect of the treated group were higher than the control group(P﹤0.05); For the symptom scores, the scores in the post treatment of the treated group were lower than the other group significantly. For the weight 、abdominal perimeter、urinary volume for 24 hours, there were significant differences in the prophase, metaphase, anaphase treatment and the pre treatment for both groups, but the improvement in the treatment group was significantly better than the improvement in the other group(P﹤0.05);For the changes of liver function and the remissions of ascites by abdominal Doppler ultrasound, there were significant differences of the treated group in the pre and post treatment for both groups, and in the post treatment, the differences between two groups were obvious, but they were similarly the same in the pre treatment. Before and after the treatment, for the two groups, there were differences both in the pylic width and the splenic thickness(P﹤0.05),and the remissions of treated group equals the control group(P﹥0.05);Conclusions It was effective for hepatic cirrhosis ascites both in the treated group and the control group, however, the therapy treatment of the treated group was more effective in the improvement of Symptoms and Signs, the decrease of ascites, besided the improvement of liver function and portal hypertension. It is showed that umbilical sticking of― Zhuo Mai Powder‖ and moxibustion therapy was a kind of new effective method in the therapy of hepatic cirrhosis ascites.
