Objective: This paper searched the life of the book’s author, version circulating, summarized the acupuncture academic thinking and explored its impact about Mai Jing.Methods: The research focused on the author, editions origin, the academic thoughts of acupuncture and moxibustion, and its subsequent influence of Mai Jing by the method of traditional Chinese medical literature.Results: Mai Jing that compiled by Wang Shuhe in Wei and Jin Dynasty was the earliest pulse classic works in China and a collection before Wei medical books. The versions circulated widely. The version of Mai Jing emended by Lin Yi etc. in the Northern Song Dynasty is the most important. This thesis analyzed its rich thoughts of acupuncture and moxibustion, its far-reaching impact on future generations about Mai Jing.Conclusion: Mai Jing was compiled by Wang Shuhe and promoted the development of traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis Science. It emphasized on the theory of main and collateral channels. There was a certain development of acupoints, acupuncture and moxibustion methods. It advocated combining acupuncture and medicine. |
