Objective: The purpose is to make the compound of traditional Chinese medicine— Dahuang Zhuoxie Capsule, which is used for the treatment of chronic renal failure, and also we will study its preparation process, quality standard and long-term stability test as well. Methods: The Chinese herbal medicines were categorized according to their medical functions and effective chemical composition, thus adopting different treatment processes. To optimize the process of extacting rheum officinale by Central-Composite design-response surface method;Through orthogonal test, extraction method of Radix rehmanniae, Radix Astragali etc. by water extract- alcohol extraction method was studied; The supercritical CO2 extraction process of volatile oil from Rhizome of Chuanxiong and Chinses Angelica were optimized in this study. The Chinese medicine was indentified by TCL,and Astragaloside content was determined by HPLC to get the limitation of contents. It is necessary to investigate the long-term stability of the formulation and check whether there is any significant quality change during the inspection. Result: The technological process of the formulation is advanced, stable and feasible. Qualitative and quantitative methods developed from quality standard analysis would be executed accurately. The formulation possesses a good stabilization. Conclusion: Dahuang Zhuoxie Capsule is highly effective against chronic renal failure and it is convenient to take for patients. The formulation is effective, quality guaranteed and under control.
