Clinical Effect Observation Of Chronic Low Back Pain By Dispelling Cold And Benefiting The Kidney

[Objective] To study the treatment of low back pain by dispelling cold and benefiting kidney with the syndromes of cold-damp stagnation and kidney yang deficiency as the starting point, we established the basic treatment of dispelling cold and benefiting kidney. Firstly, we selected the patients with chronic low back pain, who were in line with the above requirements, as the treatment group,and then compared the effect with Western medicine control group. Lastly,We summarized the clinical experience and academic thought of the treatment of dispelling cold and benefiting kidney[Methods] The subjects of this study were case control. We choose 60 patients with chronic low back pain patients of the cold damp stagnation and kidney yang deficiency. The treatment group was given Chinese medicine decoction, decocted in water for 1 days; the control group was given western medicine analgesics, after continuous observation for four weeks, and two months of follow-up, we compared the effect of the two groups. Main outcome measures:(1) the waist pain, lumbar tenderness, dysfunction, lower limb pain or numbness; (2) the main and secondary symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and related changes of tongue and pulse change.[Results] In the symptoms of TCM, compared with pre-post treatment, the treatment group were markedly effective in 9 cases, effective in 17 cases and invalid 4 cases; and about the control group, the clinical symptoms of the treatment group were markedly effective in 3 cases, effective 8 cases, and ineffective in 19 cases, the total efficiency of the treatment group and the control group had significant difference (P< 0.05), indicating that the treatment through the old dispelling and kidney benefiting can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of chronic low back pain patients, especially in low back pain, lower limb pain or numbness and other major clinical symptoms, the treatment can also improve the physical strength, the aversion to cold, anorexia and other secondary clinical symptoms and signs.compared to the control group, the clinical effect of the control group was remarkable. In chronic low back pain clinical observation items, after the treatment, the two groups of pain, tenderness, dysfunction were compared with a significant difference (P< 0.05), but after treatment two groups had no significant difference of lower extremity pain and numbness (P> 0.05). comparison of clinical cure:the treatment group healed in 6 cases,13 cases were markedly effective,10 cases were effective,1 cases ineffective, the total efficiency was 96.7%; the control group healed in 1 cases,6 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective,12 cases were ineffective, the total efficiency was only 60%, compared with the control group, the total effective rate of the treatment were significantly different.[Conclusion] (1) Used by the temperature compared with conventional TCM treatment plan of Chinese medicine treatment programs and dispelling cold and benefiting kidney method guidance, this can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of chronic lumbar pain, especially in the improvement of patients with low back pain, dysfunction, lower limb pain and other signs, (2)The treatment can better quality of life and improve the standard of living.
