Early Observation Of Anterior Chamber Changes After Posterior Intraocular Lens Implantation By Pentacam

Objective: Invastigation the anterior chamber values changes after posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation in phakic eyes by Pentacam.Meathods:This study collected 21 eyes of 11 patients that consistent with the indicatons for ICL surgery and undergoing ICL surgery from July 2014 to March 2015 at Shen Yang He Eye Hospital.The preoperative and postoperative routine eye examination,uncorrected visual acuity,best corrected visual acuity,axial length,corneal thickness,corneal diameter,UBM examination,manifest refraction,intraocular pressure,corneal endothelial cell number count and Pentacam examine were measured and recoreded befor and after ICL surgery.Anterior chamber depth(ACD), anterior chamber volume(ACV),anterior chamber angle(ACA) and ICL-vault were measured by Pentacam.Using self-control study at pre-and postoperation. Describing the indexes distribution by SPSS19.0 statistical software,statistical methods using oneway-ANOVA or nonparametric test.P<0.05 has statistical significance.Results:The experiment collected 11 patients 21 eyes were implanted with ICL successfully,all the patients discomfort and no serious complications occurred.The mean preoperative spherical equivalent is(-9.04±2.39)D, 4 weeks postoperative is(-0.12±0.55)D,exists statiscally significance(P=0.000<0.05),spherical equivalent range of 0-±1D,0-±0.5D in 71.4% eyes.100%eyes in postoperative visual acuity of 1 wk to preoperative BCVA,4 weeks after the operation,28.6% eyes(6 eyes) of more than BCVA before the operation of one or more lines and reach steady;at 4 weeks after operation; intraocular pressure 1 day after surgery decreased pre-and-postoperative(P<0.05),no difference in statistics 4 weeks after the operation(P=1.000);after 4 weeks, the endothelial cell number compared with the preoperative have no statistical difference(P=0.121 > 0.05);anterior chamber depth decreased compared with pre-and-postoperative(P < 0.05),postoperative follow-up time point of each narrow anterior chamber angle than before surgery,there is significant difference(P<0.05),no difference in statics of postoperative time period,decreased 27.15% than befor operation; the anterior chamber volume decreases compared with the preoperative that has statistical significance(P<0.05),4 weeks after operation decreased 31.22%;there are no statistically significant difference of ICL-vault(P>0.05)。Conclusion: The past for clinical application of Pentacam is mainly in the corneal topography analysis,but its analysis on anterior chamber shape also has a lot of available functions, we can take advantage of Pentacam to observation of ICL.
