Objective:To provide a scientific basis for effective tobacco control work, by realizing the local tobacco control implementation in public places, effection of second-hand smoking in indoor public places to PM2.5, perception and attitude of consumer towards smoking in public places.Methods:Design "tobacco control questionnaire in public places of Gongshu district" to survey on the implementation of smoking in public places, perception and attitude of citizen (or consumer) towards smoking in public places. Monitor PM2.5of indoor and outdoor public places by monitoring instrument for PM2.5. Analyze the result of investigation and monitoring data by the method of statistical analysis.Results:Smoking control management systems are established in60.32%of the public places. Smoking bans logos are posted in91.11%of the public places. Ashtrays are not placed in no smoking area in88.57%of the public places. Tobacco control supervisors are equipped58.41%of the public places. Qualified rates of smoking harm health propaganda and training of tobacco control knowledge to employee in public place are the lowest,43.81%and37.14%respectively. Cigarette vending machines are not setted in315units by investigation. Settings of smoking bans logos, non-smoking area without instruments, equipping of tobacco control supervisors, smoking harm health propaganda in the four major tobacco control measures, carried out better for the station (100%), medical institutions (85.71%), the school (80.77%), relatively worse for bathing places (9.52%), the restaurant (7.89%), entertainment venues (5.00%).Tht median of PM2.5concentrations of accommodation indoor is171μg/m3, ranged48~376μg/m3. Tht median of PM2.5concentrations of cybercafe indoor is253μg/m3, ranged53~1170μg/m3. Tht median of PM2.5concentrations of KTV indoor is201μg/m3, ranged114~916μg/m3. Tht median of PM2.5concentrations of restaurant indoor is217μg/m3, ranged106~1130μg/m3. The marshalling sequence of PM2.5concentrations indoor is:cybercafe> restaurant> KTV> accommodation. If someone smoking in indoor, PM2.5concentrations in cybercafe, KTV and restaurant indoor is higher than outdoor, the differences are statistical significance.73.68%of consumers heard of laws, regulations or rules ban smoking in public places.51.67%of consumers prefer to go to overall non-smoking areas.39.23%prefer to to delimit the non-smoking section.88.52%of consumers support a ban on overall non-smoking in public places.88.52%of consumers will discourage smoking if someone smoking in public places.Conclusion:The tobacco control measures are implemented in the most public places, after tobacco control legislation implementation. But it is still not ideal, especially in the restaurant, cybercafe, KTV, such as dining, leisure, entertainment. Second-hand smoking widely exists in every corner of the public, as tobacco control implementation does not reach the designated position and public smokers unconsciously. That improves the level of the public indoor PM2.5concentrations, causes harm to the health of consumers.In recent years, consumer awareness of whether ban smoking in public places are more and more concerns, generally need a pure and fresh public places to meet the demand of their own leisure, entertainment, work. The supports of ban on overall non-smoking areas are more generally. So it’s urgent need to setting up a nationwide smoking ban in public places as soon as possible.
