Clinical Retrospective Analysis Of Intrathecal Injection Chemotherapy Combined With Oral Chinese Medicin Adjuvant Therapy For Malignant Brain Tumor

Purpose:The study is aimed to observe the clinical effects of intrathecal injection of methotrexate, dexamethasone combined with traditional Chinese medicine adjuvant theraphy for malignant brain tumor, and comprehensively to explore its security and effectiveness.Method:Collect the clinical data of the patients with intracranial tumors, Acording inclusion and exclusion critera radomly divided them into two groups, the obsevation group and the comparision group,the former is applied with intrathecal injection of methotrexate, dexamethasone combined with conventional treatment assisted with traditional Chinese medicine,(Chemotherapy, the best supportive theraphy),The latter uses conventional treatment assisted with traditional Chinese medicine theraphy(Chemotherapy, the best supportive theraphy), after 3 month, objectively analyse the remission of clinical symptoms for the two groups, like: cassette evauation of life quality(KPS evaluation),weight,cognitive function(MMSE Simple intelligent evaluation of mental conditions),toxic and side effect etc. And take the statistical data of 6-month survival rate and 1-year survival rate.Result:The observation goup is much better than the comparison group,especially h e a d a c h e,h e a v i n e s s,v o mi t t i n g,d i z z i n e s s a n d o t h e r s y mp t o m s a r e i mp r o v e d significantly,what’s more,it improves the patients’ life quality,after treatment,the KPS score of observation group is much better improved(P=0.000<0.05),but there are no differences for the comparison group before and after theraphy(P=0.3871>0.05).Using simple intelligent evaluation of mental condition to evaluate the cognitive function, intrathecal injection combined with traditional Chinese medicine adjuvant theraphy did not improve patients’ cognitive function.According to toxic and side effect,it can obviously reduce patient’s nausea and vomiting reaction. Blood toxicity,the liver and kidney function damage are not obvious for both groups.In terms of survival, patients in the observation group slightly prolonged,6-month survival rate of observation group was 81.48%,compared to 74.07% of comparison group,. the two groups by chi-square test is P> 0.05,there is no statistical significance.Conclusion: Intrathecal injection combined with traditional Chinese medicine adjuvant theraphy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, the patients’ life quality, it’s safe and reliable. It can be combined to use during treatment, prolong survival, improve patients’ tolerance against anti-tumor therapy.
