Object:To summarize characters of long-term feverish patients’ pathogen and d istributions of syndromes through retrospective analysis of long-term feverish in-pati ents of Hospital affiliated to Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine University fro m 2011 to 2014, in order to clarify the recognition of long-term fever and pathoge n as well as pathogenesis in Chinese medicine thus conducting differentiation and tr eatment of long-term fever.Method: Screening and collected 60 cases from 2011 to 2014 who were longterm feverish more than two weeks, utilize statistic analysis and summarize and an alyze relationship between long-term fever syndromes distribution and etiologic. Results: Among 60 cases of long-term feverish patients who met the inclusion criteria, the causes of long-term feverish are related to five areas such as infectiou s diseases, tuberculosis, cancer, rheumatic autoimmune disease and unknown after a series of tests. Specific etiologic diagnoses sequentially include lung infection, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis.A few of causes include dermatomyositis, subac ute thyroiditis, thoracic tuberculosis, tuberculous pleurisy, Sjogren’s syndrome and so on. Syndromes through statistical frequency distribution of the number consists of phlegm retention in the lung, lung spleen deficiency, wind-heat invading lung synd rome, cold beam table card. Conclusion: Infections take largest proportion of cause of long-term feverish in-patients; stagnation of phlegm-heat also occupies a larger percent in long-term feve rish led by infections. Exterior syndrome takes a relatively smaller percent in long-t erm fever. Due to relatively long course of long-term fever, the differentiation of diseases and yndromes should be combined. Meanwhile, the cause differentiation shou ld not be ignored on the basis of pathogen diagnosis.
