Objective:This research aimed to introduce and revise the Clinical Positive Affect Scale(CPAS). Analyze and verify the reliability and validity of the Chinese version.Provide an effective measurement tool for clinical patients to quantify the positive affect. Explore and analysis of the situation and related influence factors of the clinical positive affect in hospitalized diabetic patients.Analysis of the self-management situation of diabetic patients.Investigate the relationship between clinical positive affect and self-management.Method: Strictly abide the requirements of psychometric and the international general procedures of scales introduction,through translation, back translation, cultural commissioning, pre-experiment,introduce and revise the Clinical Positive Affect Scale(CPAS).Select 172 hospitalized diabetic patients that meet the requirements to make a clinical investigation.Comprehensive analysis of reliability and validity of the scale,ultimately the formation of the Chinese version of the clinical positive affect scale.Using the facilitate cluster sampling method to select198 hospitalized diabetic patients form six tertiary general hospital in Jinan and Jining to make a quantitative research.Spss17.0 was used to do the statistical analysis.Results:① The clinical positive affect scale of chinese version is a self-rating scale with a time node of 7days.It contained one dimension of positive affect, total of 16 items, using Likert 5 score method.The item analysis, factor analysis, reliability and validity evaluation and re-examination all shows that the scale has goodreliability and validity.②The positive affect existenced varying degrees of missing in hospitalized diabetic patients.Residence, education level, family income, currently treatment, the number of complications, treatment costs and the payment methods influenced patients’ positive affect.These factors should be noticed by clinical care works.③The hospitalized patients with diabetes had an unsatisfactory situation of the self-management,self-management behavior was widespread missing in each of the dimension.Patients’ clinical positive affect was significantly correlated with their diet, exercise, blood glucose monitoring and footcare dimensions of self-management,this result prompted that clinical positive affect contributed to improve patients’ self-management level.Conclusions: The Clinical Positive Affect Scale(CPAS) introduced by this research is straightforward,it has good acceptability,reliability and validity.CPAS of chichinese version can meet the requirements of psychometric,and can be used as an effective and simple tool to assessment the positive affect of clinical patients.The clinical positive affect and self-management behaviors both existed a certain degree of absence in hospitalized patients with diabetes.Improve the clinical positive affect state is beneficial to the improvement of self-management.
