This paper hackles the theory of du meridian based on the yellow emperor ’ s internal classic and waijing weiyan,and researches the du meridian from the two aspects of theory and application.Purpose: The main of this paper is to under the classical theory of du meridian correctly,and make the origin,transmission,the relationship with zang-fu and meridians,the function of du meridian,determine the role of du meridian in the field of pathogenesis,improve the cognition and emphasis of pathogenesis,diagnosis,treatment of the disease about spine which caused by du meridian.and lay a good foundation for the further study.Methods: This paper collects and finishes the origin of du meridian in the yellow emperor ’ s internal classic and waijing weiyan by literature research methods,combining with the annotation and personal opinions of later ages,and modern studies,then processes the information by the method of induction,analysis and discussion.Content: 1 Research on the theory of du meridian.study on the law of origin and circulation of du meridian, du meridian starts from the uterus,and widely distributes throughout the body.research the relationship between dumeridian and kidney,brain, and the relationship between du meridian and spine,spinal cord,bladder meridian,huatuo jiaji,further research on relationship between du meridian and god,and du meridian plays the important role in transportation and recovery of essence qi of kidney. 2 Application research on the theory of du meridian,study the pathogeny,diagnosis,treatment of the diseases caused by du meridian, especially the disease about spine, and the way to utilize the theory of du meridian in the field of subhealthy,which based on the theory that chiropractic is important for the diseases caused by du meridian, primordial qi is needed to supply to patents who have severe diseases about du meridian.Conclusion: 1 The backbone of du meridian is in parallel with kidney meridian in spine;the branch of du meridian are in parallel with bladder meridian,huatuo jiaji and other yang meridians, the theory of du meridian is the special cognition of the structure and function of spinal cord in TCM. 2 Du meridian is related to life and death,there is a close relationship between du meridian and the pregnancy,embryo development,growth and development of people,du meridian is the important foundation of nourishing of life. 3 Hunchback and opisthotonus are caused by du meridian in the case of deficiency and excess.du meridian is the basic cause of disease about spine,recovery of yin yang balance of spine and du meridian points is the essentials of therapy,we should supply primordial qi to the patient with severe diseases about du meridian.
