| Objective: The study was designed to observe the clinical effect on the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for the type of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire using the Qinggan Xiehuo Xiaoying Decoction with the principles of clearing liver-fire and removing stasis. In order to research the curative effect and safety, provide reliable ideas and treatment methods for the intervention of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with TCM.Methods: With a randomized controlled study method, 60 patients which met the inclusion criteria of heart liver fire hyperactivity type Hashimoto thyroiditis from clinical were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. Each group contains 30 samples.The experimental group was given the Qinggan Xiehuo Xiaoying Decoction while the control group was given selfheal capsule. The treatment last for 8 weeks. Changes in two groups of patients with blood levels of thyroid hormones, thyroid autoantibodies, thyroid isthmus thickness numerical integral, clinical symptoms and signs were observed before and after treatment. Record the adverse drug reactions and make safety evaluation using SPSS 17.0 statistical software.Results: In the aspect of clinical efficacy, for the experimental group the conditions of 9 cases were clinically controlled, 14 cases had marked effect, 4 cases were effective, 3 had no effect, the total effective rate was 90.00%; For the control group, the conditions of 3 cases were clinically controlled, 9 cases were markedly effective, effective in 11 cases, 7 had no effect, the total effective rate was 76.67%. The experimental group was superior to the control group in improving the lassitude, afraid of Gerdorhan, palpitation and chest tightness, polyorexia, defecate frequency, irritability, sleeplessness, tremors and other single symptoms; The experimental group was superior to the control group in delaying the thyroid isthmus thickening for HT patients, reducing the points of A-TPO in blood of the patients and the total scores of symptoms and signs; Both two groups had the equivalent effect on the regulation for the serum level of thyroid hormone; There was no obvious adverse reaction in experimental group which showed high security.Conclusion: The Qinggan Xiehuo Xiaoying Decoction, formulating the principles of clearing liver-fire and removing stasis as well as clearing away heat and toxic materials and tonifying qi and yin can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for the type of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire, decrease the levels of thyroid autoantibodies and delay the thyroid enlargement without significant adverse reactions. |
