ObjectiveTo study the relationship between post-cesarean section scar defect and abnormal uterine bleeding.MethodsFrom2013April to2014April,65patients with post-cesarean section scar defect detected by ultrasonography were collected as experimental group,65cases with normal ultrasonography and the history of cesarean section were collected as control group. The pattern of uterine bleeding, the position of post-cesarean section scar defect and clinical manifestation were compared between the experimental group and control group. The relationship between the abnormal uterine bleeding and post-cesarean section scar defect were studied.ResultsThe proportion of anterial uterus in the experimental group was significantly lower than which of the control group, while the proportion of posterial uterus was significantly higher than which of the control group. The incidence rates of prolonged menstruation, intermenstrual bleeding, menorrhagia, lower abdominal pain and anemia in the experimental group were significantly higher than that in the control group (all P<0.05). The days of menstrual cycle of both groups had no statistically significant difference (P>0.05)). The distance from post-cesarean section scar defect to the internal cervical orifice in the experimental group (5.43±1.56mm) was significantly lower than which of the control group (6.36±1.43mm)(P<0.05). The distance from post-cesarean section scar defect to the external cervix orifice in the experimental group (3.3±1.3cm) was significantly lower than which of the control group (4.2±1.5cm)(P<0.05). The degree of post-cesarean section scar defect was positive correlation with the volume of the uterine bleeding (r=0.356)。ConclusionThe manifestation of the patients with post-cesarean section scar defect mainly included prolonged menstruation, intermenstrual bleeding, menorrhagia, lower abdominal pain and anemia. The cesarean section incision too low is one high risk factor of PCSD. The degree of post-cesarean section scar defect is positive correlation with abnormal uterine bleeding.
