Objective:1. To understand present situation of radiation workers’training, occupational health and individual monitoring in Ningbo diagnostic radiologic institutions.2. To understand the distinction of radiation workers’occupational health abnormalities in Ningbo diagnostic radiologic institutions. Methods:In this study, radiation workers, in253diagnostic radiologic institutions of Ningbo, had been all selected as objects. Descriptive analysis were conducted on the number of people who should be trained during2012to2013, be trained actually, and training rate for different categories of radiation workers before and undergo working. Descriptive analysis,x2Inspection, Fisher’s exact test and statistical methods were conducted on studying the health examination conditions, which including the amount of people who should be checked during2012to2013, actual checked, checking rate, abnormal results, and filing rate of occupational health records, of radiation workers (pre-job and on-the-job) in different categories. For the frequency distribution of abnormal results, descriptive analysis,x2Inspection, Fisher’s exact test were used as study methods. During2012to2014, in the monitoring result of personal dose for radiation workers in different categories, frequency distribution of dose equivalent Hp (10)(mSv), collective effective dose (person·mSv), annual person average effective dose (mSv/a) distribution were conducted by descriptive analysis, x2Inspection and Poisson distribution.Results:1. Overall situation analysis of diagnostic radiologic institutions and radiation workers: Currently, there are253diagnostic radiologic institutions in Ningbo and all of these institutions carried out X-ray imaging diagnosis. Furthermore,14of them carried out interventional radiology,4institutions carried out radiotherapy, and2institutions carried out nuclear medicine. In all of these253diagnostic institutions, there are1489radiation workers. Among these people,1127individuals are engaged with X-ray imaging diagnostic, which occupy75.69%of the total headcount.993of total workers are male, which account for66.69%. In terms of the age,562individuals are under the age of30(including the age of30), which occupy37.74%; and525workers are30to40years old (including40years old) with the percentage of32.36%. Lastly,1003radiation workers have worked less than10years (including10years).2. Training situation analysis of radiation workers: In the period of2012to2013,1489workers supposed to be trained before working, the actual number of training was1439. Thus, training rate have reached96.64%. In terms of working category, training rate before working was100%, the rate during working was96.30%, which is lower than that before working. In the category of radiological diagnosis and radiotherapy,1128workers should have been trained in X-ray imaging diagnosis, the actual number was1088, thus, training rate was96.45%.237individuals should have been trained in interventional radiology, actually,96.92%of them (229workers) have been trained. In terms of radiotherapy, all of the103workers have been trained, so did nuclear medicine. It is not difficult to see that X-ray imaging diagnosis and interventional radiology accounted for the lower rate.3. Management situation analysis of workers’ occupational health:3.1Occupational health examination analysis for radiation workers before, on, or off post:the amount of workers who should have been checked was1489, and1450of them have been checked actually, with97.38%checking rate. Among these1489technicians,93.22%of them (1388individuals) have established occupational health records. In those be established occupational health records, the rate of staff (on and leave the job) is lower. In those be checked, the abnormal results, before working with the rate of93.02%, is more than the others.3.2Abnormal results analysis of occupational health examination for radiation workers on-the-job:1147individuals with abnormal index have been found among1267subjects. In this1147workers,850workers were engaged in X-ray imaging diagnosis, which occupies90.14%in X-ray imaging diagnosis field.201individuals who were concerned with interventional radiology were abnormal, which account for93.93%of the total subjects in this field. In the distribution of abnormal results, those of ophthalmology examination, renal function tests and electrocardiogram in interventional radiology are lower. And the difference of thyroid function abnormalities were statistically significant in the fields of X-ray imaging diagnosis, interventional radiology, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. The amount of abnormal individuals in radiotherapy took the percentage of54.44%, which was higher than the number in X-ray imaging diagnosis (30.11%) and interventional radiology (22.42%). This remarkable difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The abnormal rate of radiotherapy is higher than the others in B ultrasound examination. And the abnormalities of nuclear medicine are more than the others in blood pressure and urine routine examination. While, the difference in other abnormal items were not statistically significant (P>0.05) in the fields of X-ray imaging diagnosis, interventional radiology, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. 4. Results analysis of radiation workers’personal dose monitoring:From the year of2012to2014, in the work of radiation workers’personal dose monitoring, X-ray imaging diagnosis had the highest collective effective dose, which was1260.539person-mSv.While, radiation staff worked in nuclear medicine had the highest person average effective dose, with0.489mSv/a. To compared with the limit value of50(mSv), there are differences between them, although which conform to the standard. X-ray imaging diagnosis had the highest collective effective dose in each year of the3years. And in different3years, the largest number of radiation workers is1765in2014. Meanwhile this year has the highest collective effective dose, which was700.220person-mSv,and had the highest person average effective dose, with0.273mSv/a.Conclusion:1. During the process of developing law and regulation training for radiation workers, this is lower in the on-the-job staff training rate, which is mainly engaged in X-ray diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology;2. In radiation workers,be established occupational health records, the rate of staff did not reach100%,which was the lowest in leave-the-job. Meanwhile the occupational health examination rate, on and leave the job, did not reach100%.And in those be checked, the abnormal results, the rate of on-the-job and before working are higher. The abnormalities of occupational health surveillance,in the before working staff, is more than the others. The abnormalities, of ophthalmology examination, renal function tests and electrocardiogram, are higher in X-ray imaging diagnosis, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. Meanwhile, the abnormal results, of thyroid function and B ultrasound examination, are higher in radiotherapy. The abnormalities in nuclear medicine,of blood pressure and urine routine examination, are more than the others.3. In the work of radiation workers’ personal dose monitoring, X-ray imaging diagnosis had the highest collective effective dose.In the person annual effective dose of these3years, there was the largest number of monitoring in2014, which had the highest collective effective dose.
