Individual monitoring of radiation workers is a statutory means to evaluate the exposure doses in the state regulations, the safety of work environment and the degree of radiation can be quantitative evaluated according to the dose affected. Investigating the reason of abnormal individual dose is to improve the accuracy of the monitoring value and prevent radiation damage caused by over exposure in order to ensure the health of radiation workers. This study investigated the individual radiation dose of2382radiology staff in hospital in Jiangxi Province in2012monitored by a institute, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant state laws and regulations, TLD was used to monitor the individual radiation dose and the monitoring rate and individual dose frequency of different types of work, different regions and different years were counted and analyzed. Abnormal values were classified and counted. Investigation forms combined with scene investigation and telephone counseling were used to certificate the reason of the abnormity of individual dose, blind comparison and the personal dose monitoring evaluation of uncertainty was used to ensure the accuracy of the personal dose monitoring of the institute. The monitoring rate of individual dose of hospital radiation staff in Jiangxi province in2012was up to74.04%, which remains to be further improved; the annual effective radiation dose was less than the national standards for occupational dose limited value of20mSv, the annual effective dose of most radiation workers were less than2mSv, which was conformed to the safety standards; the number of radiation workers in hospital in Jiangxi province who accepted dose monitoring is increasing year by year, the average annual effective radiation dose decreased indistinctively; there were101abnormal values in2012, only11persons were radiated with high exposure dose because of their work, the rest of them were caused by personal reasons, The relative deviation of three sets of blind dose was less than30%, the result of blind sample was qualified, the calculated results of relative expanded uncertainty was about8%, which conformed to the state standard that relative uncertainty in laboratory measured must less than10%. Medical institutions, radiation workers and detection departments must realize the importance of individual dose monitoring in order to reduce artificial factors and make individual monitoring dose truly reflects the actual exposed dose.
