Objectives:This study was aimed to investigate the status of SGA in Changchun, byanalysising the clinical data of different characterized maternals, whom give birth toSGA newborns. Screening risk factors of SGA and exploring nursering strategies forSGA education. To provide evidences to identify high-risk pregnant women of SGAand maternal health education.Method:A retrospective analysis method was used to extract the clinical date of43,459newborns and their maternals, whom gave birth between January2011and December2013from a cluster information management platform of one hospital in ChangchunCity. By comparing SGA incidence of different characterised maternals to screen therisk factors of SGA. EpiData3.02software was used to establish a database. Theclinical dates were analysised by SPSS17.0. General informations were tested bydescriptive analysis and chi-square test was applied for univariate analysis. Logisticregression analysis was used for risk factors screening in multivariate analysis.Results:1. The minimum gestational age of newborns is28weeks, maximum up to49weeks, with an average of (38.63±1.535) weeks; the minimum weight of newbornsis500g, the maximum is5798g, the average (3346.30±484.790) g. The incidence ofSGA4.62%,4.56%and4.66%in Changchun during2011-2013.2.Through the chi-square test, we found that different age, the family seat, prenatal BMI, blood pressure, occupation, number of pregnancies, number of factorsand so on affected the incidence of SGA birth, and the difference was statisticallysignificant (P <0.05).3.Multivariate non-conditional Logistic analysis revealed that the family seat of the county, the family seat of the countryside, before delivery BMI <18.5kg/m2, Ⅰtype of hypertension, type Ⅱ, Ⅲ hypertension, profession, the number of pregnancy≥5times, accompanied by anemia, associated with pregnancy complications,≤8times the number of prenatal care, fetal sex for women, premature and retarded birth, were entered into the regression modelConclusion:It was failed to pay sufficient attention for prenatal maternal, and the propagandaof the importance of antenatal examination should be strengthen. We should promotethe implementation of antenatal check policy. The risk factors we screened for SGA include: family seat of the county, thefamily seat of the countryside, before delivery BMI <18.5kg/m2, Ⅰ type ofhypertension, type Ⅱ, Ⅲ hypertension, farmer, forestry, herd, fishermen, waterconservancy production personnel, workers, transportation equipment operator, unemployers, number of pregnancies≥5times, accompanied by anemia, complications associated with pregnancy, prenatal care≤8times the number, sex forwomen, premature and retarded birth.
