ObjectiveThe study aimed to provide practical reference for clinical nutritional support of the patients to decrease their rehabilitation time by assessing the nutritional status and the nutritional risk incidence of the hospitalized patients in the department of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital.MethodsThe data of729patients who hospitalized in the department of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital from April1to July1,2014.were collected. The contents of questionnaire included monthly income, education level, food intake frequency, with or without nutritional support during hospital, and etc. The data also included index of physical examination and laboratory tests. Nutritional Risk Screening2002(NRS2002) was applied to screen nutritional risks of these hospitalized patients. The data were processed and analyzed by using Epidata3.02and SPSS21.0software.x2-test,t-test and analysis of variance(ANOVA).α=0.05。ResultsThe327patients out of the total subjects have nutritional risk, the incidence of nutritional risk was44.9%.The nutritional risk incidence of male and female patients was48.2%and41.5%respectively, there is no significant difference between them (x2=1.02, P>0.05).The nutritional risk incidence of15~,40~and70~years old patients was32.6%,32.9%and83.6%respectively. There is a significant difference among them (x2=7.38, P<0.05).The aged patients were easy to suffer from nutritional risk. The nutritional risk incidence of cancer and non cancer patients was51.5%and38.9%respectively. There is a significant difference between them (X2=4.01,P<0.05).The nutritional risk incidence of the patients with Body Mass Index(BMI)less18.5washigher than that of those with BMI more than24of28. ConclusionThere is higher nutritional risk incidence in patients in Chinese Medicine department. The elderly patients have higher nutritional risk rate than the young patients. There are highest nutritional risk incidence on Cancer survival and the patients with BMI less than18.5.The NRI would be taken in the hospitalized patients.
