Agastache rugosa is whole herbs of Labiatae genus’s Agastache rugosa (Fisch.et.Mey.) O.Kuntze, commonly known as the local Agastache rugosa or Sichuan Agastache rugosa. This paper has studied the quality of Agastache rugosa from Zhongjiang County, the establishment of gastrointestinal motility disorder in mice model, and the explorement about gastrointestinal motility, sugar absorption function and glucose metabolism in mice under the affect of Agastache rugosa and its various chemical components, the study’s contents and results are as follows:1Quality Control of Agastache rugosaThis paper has referenced to the relevant information in requirements of Chinese medicine quality control, has studed morphological identification, microscopic identification of the powder, the chemical composition of the system pre-experimental studies and GC-MS analysis of volatile oil of Agastache rugosa from Zhongjiang County. The results show that its chemical composition may have polysaccharides, amino acids, proteins, organic acids, tannins, saponins, steroids, flavonoids, cardiac glycosides, Coumadin Su and volatile oils. The volatile oil compositions of Agastache rugosa in different parts were similar, the major components of volatile oil were pulegone and menthone.2Intervention of Agastache rugosa on gastrointestinal motility disorders in mice modelThis part of study has established a model of gastrointestinal motility disorders in mice, by observing gastrointestinal motility disorders in mice under the effects of drug screening and different chemical compositions of Agastache rugosa. The results are as follows:The part of results proved the method of gastrointestinal motility disorder in mice model to affect gastrointestinal motility model mice. By comparing Pogostemon cablin, Cisapride to Agastache rugosa and its various chemical components, Agastache rugosa, its volatile oil components and non-volatile oil components has a regulatory role on gastrointestinal motility and sugar absorption function in model-mice,promoting intestinal propulsion of model-mice significantly.3gastrointestinal function under the affect of Agastache rugosa and its various chemical componentsThis part of study has established a model of gastrointestinal motility disorders in mice, explored gastrointestinal motility, sugar absorption function and glucose metabolism in mice under the affect of Agastache rugosa and its various chemical components, the results are as followsBy comparing Pogostemon cablin, Cisapride to Agastache rugosa and its various chemical components, Agastache rugosa has a regulatory role on gastrointestinal motility, sugar absorption function and glucose metabolismin model-mice,increasing the stomach content of motilin and gastrin; Agastache rugosa, its volatile oil components and non-volatile oil components can promote on gastric emptying in normal mice, inhibit intestinal propulsion,Agastache rugosa and non-volatile oil components can reduce the content of motilin in normal mice, increasing levels of gastrin, elevated serum D-xylose content;Agastache non-volatile oil components can significantly reduce the normal mouse’s lactate, glucose levels, reduce lactic acid dehydrogenase activity, while enhancing the succinate dehydrogenase activity may be elevated normal mouse’s serum D-xylose content, so can enhance glucose metabolism in normal mice; Agastache volatile oil components can increase the normal mouse’s motilin and gastrin content, reduce the normal mouse’s levels of D-xylose, enhance the normal mouse’s lactic, pyruvic acid, glucose, the activity of lactate dehydrogenase and succinate dehydrogenase.ConclusionWith Intervention of Agastache rugosa on gastrointestinal motility disorders in mice model,Agastache rugosa has a regulatory role on gastrointestinal motility. By comparing Pogostemon cablin, Cisapride to Agastache rugosa and its various chemical components,Agastache rugosa, its volatile oil components and non-volatile oil components can promote intestinal propulsion of model-mice significantly, its non-volatile oil components can promote glucose metabolism in normal mouse. Agastache rugosa has regenerative ability, abundant resources and effective affirmative, its application has a long history.we suggest the Sichuan standard or national standards should include it.
