Study On The Health And Pregnancy Outcomes Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Intervention In IVF-ET Mothers

Objective:Analysis of the pregnancy,delivery and postpartum complications of TCMintervention in IVF-ET mothers,compared it with epidemiological data of naturalpregnancy.The paper can provide linical reference opinions for the future of TCMintervention in IVF-ET.Methods:From January2003to January2006and June2009to January2014, thereare190cases were randomly selected from the successful delivery of infertility patients ofTCM intervention in IVF-ET in Reproductive and Genetic Center of Integrated Traditionaland Western Medicine Affiliated Hospital of Shandong T.C.M University tostudy.And“Table of maternal health after TCM intervention in IVF-ET”isestablished.Through the record information,the information,such as telephonenumber,medical record No.,Mother’s age,indications,embryo transfer date,and the situationof taking Chinese traditional medicine have been registered.Through the telephonesurvey,we register the following two categories of information:1,maternal pregnancycomplications,such as:ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome （OHSS）,anemia duringpregnancy,ectopic pregnancy （EP）,pregnancy induced hypertension （PIH）,gestationaldiabetes mellitus （GDM）,intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy （ICP）,placentaprevia,placental abruption,premature rupture of membrane, oligohydramnios,polyhydramnios,cord around neck,pubic symphysis separation,etc.2, delivery andpostpartum complications;delivery manner,gestational age,postpartum hemorrhage,changesin the menstrual cycle after childbirth,etc.To statistical processing of the collected data, andcomparing with our natural pregnancy epidemiological data. Results:General situation：146cases were single births（76.84%）,44cases were twin births（23.15%）.The ratio of twin births is in line with the IVF-ET twin pregnancy rate（20%-30%）,but higher than the natural data.2.Maternal pregnancy complications:The rate of pregnancy complicated withheterotopic pregnancy of the TCM intervention in IVF-ET is0.53%, lower than theepidemiological data of IVF-ET （2.1%-8.6%）, but higher than natural pregnancyepidemiological data （1:3889-1:30000）.And the rate of pregnancy complicated withOHSS, pregnancy induced hypertension of the TCM intervention in IVF-ET is higher thanthe epidemiological data of natural pregnancy,and there is no statistical difference betweenthe different number of births and the incidence of pregnancy induced hypertension（P>0.05）.There is statistical difference between the mother of TCM intervention inIVF-ET and natural pregnancy mother with with the rate of anemia during pregnancy,premature rupture of membrane，cord around neck（P<0.05）.3.Delivery and postpartum complications:Cesarean section is of higher proportion in171cases（90%）and the proportion of full-term delivery is （84.21%）.There is nostatistical difference between the different number of births and the Cesarean section rate（P>0.05）.There is statistical difference between the different number of births and theincidence of premature delivery（P<0.05）.The incidence of premature delivery in twinbirths is higher than that of single births（0R0.107,95%CI0.046-0.252）.Conclusion:1.The ratio of twin births of the successful delivery of TCM intervention in IVF-ET ishigher than the epidemiological data of natural pregnancy.2.The rate of pregnancy complicated with heterotopic pregnancy of the TCMintervention in IVF-ET is lower than the epidemiological data of IVF-ET, but higher thannatural pregnancy epidemiological data.the rate of heterotopic pregnancy is higher than theepidemiological data of natural pregnancy.And the rate of pregnancy complicated withOHSS, pregnancy induced hypertension,anemia during pregnancy, premature rupture ofmembrane，cord around neck of the TCM intervention in IVF-ET is lower than theepidemiological data of natural pregnancy.3.The Cesarean section rate and premanlre delivery rate of the TCM intervention inIVF-ET are higher than the epidemiological data of natural pregnancy.The elevation of premature delivery is related to the high rate of twin birth（s0R0.107,95%CI0.046-0.252）.
